Los discos de vinil marcaron una hermosa época, en mis tiempos de adolescencia era lo último en moda musical, no podíamos pensar que hubiera otro sistema de música que pudiera superarlo. Los LP eran promocionados en la televisión y yo estaba pendiente de adquirir el más reciente y solicitado en la radio. En casa aún conservo un equipo de sonido muy completo que compraron mis padres, claro, ya no funciona. En este se podía colocar casete, escuchar las emisoras de radio y no podía faltar la estrella de aquel momento, el tocadiscos. Cuando no podía adquirir el LP, lo pedía prestado y lo grababa en un casete.

Recuerdo que mi primer disco de vinil fue el de Los Hombres G, un grupo de jóvenes españoles que se hicieron muy famosos con el tema “Devuélveme a mi chica”. Recuerdo que fue un regalo de mis padres por mi cumpleaños número 12 y fue uno de mis discos preferidos. Yo estaba feliz, era el éxito del momento y a mi gustaba escuchar el género de moda. También recuerdo que a la carátula le puse mi nombre por varias partes, como era costumbre prestar los discos, me quería asegurar que supieran que tenía dueño y me lo devolvieran, jeje. Además del éxito “Devuélveme a mi chica”, me gustaban otras canciones, como “Venecia”, “Te quiero” y “Martha tiene un marcapasos”. Cuando me quedaba sola en casa, escuchaba una y otra vez mis canciones favoritas, así que esas pistas se rayaron algo rápido.

De este mismo género pop, me gustaban las canciones de la cantante “Karina”, mis padres me compraron para ese entonces su LP más reciente llamado “Sin máscara”. De ese disco me encantaban casi todas las canciones, como “Desde mi ventana”, “Una reina más”, “La noche es mágica”, “Salta” y “Lo digo de corazón”. Me gustaba mucho la música de los Hombres G, pero mi disco de vinil favorito fue el de Karina.

Yo siempre estaba pendiente del LP de moda, así que cuando íbamos a la tienda, cada quien se traía el disco de vinil de su preferencia. En mi caso, como me gustaban los géneros bailables, mis padres me compraron uno de merengue, Natusha, Reggae y muchos más. A mis padres no les agradaban algunas de esas músicas, así que cuando yo las ponía no les quedaba más remedio que escucharlas, jeje y a mí me pasaba igual con las músicas de ellos, pero teníamos que respetar esos momentos y espacios.

Esta ha sido mi participación en esta iniciativa propuesta por Hive Argentina. Agradecida con la comunidad por esta iniciativa que nos ha traído gratos recuerdos.

Vinyl records marked a beautiful era. When I was a teenager, they were the latest thing in music, and we couldn't imagine that there could be another music system that could surpass them. LPs were advertised on television, and I was eager to get my hands on the latest and most requested ones on the radio. At home, I still have a complete stereo system that my parents bought, but of course, it no longer works. You could play cassettes on it, listen to the radio, and, of course, it had the star of the moment: the record player. When I couldn't buy the LP, I would borrow it and record it on a cassette tape.

I remember that my first vinyl record was by Los Hombres G, a group of young Spaniards who became very famous with the song “Devuélveme a mi chica” (Give Me Back My Girl). I remember that it was a gift from my parents for my 12th birthday and it was one of my favorite records. I was happy, it was the hit of the moment and I liked listening to the genre that was in fashion. I also remember writing my name in several places on the cover, as it was customary to lend records, and I wanted to make sure they knew who it belonged to and would give it back to me, haha. In addition to the hit “Devuélveme a mi chica,” I liked other songs, such as “Venecia,” “Te quiero,” and “Martha tiene un marcapasos.” When I was home alone, I listened to my favorite songs over and over again, so those tracks got scratched pretty quickly.

In the same pop genre, I liked the songs by the singer Karina, and my parents bought me her latest LP at the time, called Sin máscara. I loved almost all the songs on that album, such as “Desde mi ventana,” “Una reina más,” “La noche es mágica,” “Salta,” and “Lo digo de corazón.” I really liked the music of Hombres G, but my favorite vinyl record was Karina's.

I was always on the lookout for the latest LP, so when we went to the store, everyone would bring home their favorite vinyl record. In my case, since I liked dance music, my parents bought me merengue, Natusha, reggae, and many more. My parents didn't like some of that music, so when I played it, they had no choice but to listen to it, haha, and I felt the same way about their music, but we had to respect those moments and spaces.
