I'm **Jelay** and I am excited to share my thrilling writing journey here on hive. Before anything else, I would like to acknowledge @ayane-chan, @jiboyskie123, and @agnola for introducing me to this platform to improve my skills in writing and I also want to explore more, on the side of capturing and to be mesmerize by the memories in my life. So, let's not waste our time. **Let’s get to know me!**  Hi, I'm Jelay! I’m your *cute-tastic friend* from the **City Of Smile, Home of the Maskara Festival, Bacolod City, Philippines.** I am 22 years old and I am currently studying Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Filipino, currently in my 3rd year college. My journey in my chosen course has been a roller coaster ride honestly. I experienced restless and sleepless nights, I experienced to be scared to be called in our oral recitation, and to get low scores in the quizes and even on the exam. But at the end of the day those *experiences* shaped me for who I am in the present, for who I am today. Standing **bravely** and a **fighter**.  I know that it still need a long run before I reach my dreams and goals in life, many challenges and trials that I may have encounter in my journey as a student, as a child and as woman, but it doesn't affect nor lessen my determination, instead it fuels and ignite my passion and drives me to pursue the path that I want to take. I always believe in a quote that ***"Failure are not reason to give up, but a challenge to improve ".*** Although as a college student we need to be focus and prepare at anytime in everything and anything. I will not disregard the enjoyment, the peace and joy I deserve despite I am busy. I will spend my free time doing the things that makes me happy and rejoice.  These are my college friends. We’ve been through a lot. We love to eat, we throw jokes and laugh all day. I can say, we just normally understand each other, and I can say that these friends of mine, we are helping each other and we support each other. May it be in school-related and such.  My number one source of happiness is eating food like *Chicken Inasal* which is the delicacy that we bacolodnon are known and proud. Chicken Inasal here in Bacolod is very different among chicken inasala out there. Chicken Inasal especially the Mang Inasal have this taste that you will surely love that is why I love chicken inasal. I also love to eat *shawarma, french fries, unripe mango and such.* Although those food are delicious but they are no match to the food that my mom cook and served in our house. My mom cooks a lot and makes my tummy happy. *No one can compare, my mom cooks the best.* My mother always love to cook and I proud to say that I had inherit her cooking skills. *That will be able for today!* ***You have reach the end of my blog.
