My attraction to this movie are the major characters; BamBam who did justice to the role she played with the name Tope and Michael Dappa who is good a character in playing the love role and a book writter with the name Caleb in this movie Drive Me to Love.
Trauma can damage one beyond imagination, i wanted to said beyond repair but it takes a patient and loving person like Caleb in this movie to revive someone in such situation.
This scene of the movie damaged Tope, as the movie started in this setting where Tope went out with her three other siblings driving and got into an accident where her elder sister lost her pregnancy, her baby sister in coma and for that reason would be unable to graduate from school and the brother under the probability of not working again, saying good bye to his football career. She came out without sustaining any injury, this made her mother sing it to her how she made her siblings lost everything they had dreamt of because of her recklessness denied her from seeing her siblings while in the hospital.
Caleb, who writes book came to visit his friend Rotimi who lives in same estate with Tope saw her and wanted to get to know more about her but his friend talked him out of it, making him believe it's not a good idea giving him reasons of which was a success for sometime. Weeks later he came back to see his friend and it happened he wasn't at home but close, told him to wait inside his car. While he was waiting Tope who has already booked a ride and coincidentally happened to be same color with Mr Caleb's jumped into his car yet to speak she displayed some ill attitude that made him pick interest in knowing her, why she behaves the way she does and make use of it to write and publish.
Unfortunately for her, she forgot her phone, to Caleb the door are opening gradually to getting information. In doing good to return it he found out that her life is based on timing, dress is strictly suit that's the dress code, and no one is permitted to laugh if not in your contract as an employee.
She doesn't care because she doesn't believe she can be cared for, for that nobody cares for anybody and she doesn't know the name of her workers no matter how many years they've worked for her except the secretary who of cause she addresses as Secretary. She doesn't love because she believes she can't be loved what a damage but the workers pay cheque speaks fat so the can't leave. She believes money can be used to show appreciation rather than the simple two words,"thank you."
Caleb got a driving job in her working space as her personal driver more doors open to dig more. While on trying to carry out his job as it's in the contract and not he made her realize she could care and love people again. Caleb successful pulled out her siblings after five she of not seeing them to come celebrate and reunite with them.
Seeing them got her relieved though she never believed that they care and love. Following her gradually and speaking with her in a softly way made her open up to him. While he decided to pull out from his mission.
But it was late already, the manuscript has been published, and this caused commotion between himself and the team while Tope went back to her way of life of staying in her net and not talking to anyone
Irrespective of what the challenges and damages that come our way, there's always this one person who is willing to help us no matter what happens. We do not need to let others suffer what the do not know. The workers went through what they didn't know about but had to stay because it took some years to get a job.
Getting close to know people more is important no matter what we hear about them. It's important to forgive, for it will give us some relief, help us in moving on and forgiving ourselves as well.
