Hey guys welcome to my page, so the drawing I did for this contest today is a drawing of a dark arborist from the Splinterlands card. This drawing was done using my charcoal pencil and crayon there by highlighting all the necessary areas of the character using a nice shading technique method.
The Dark Arborist is a card that comes from the Splinterlands game. When you see this card, the first thing you notice is its shape. The figure looks like it is part man and part tree. His face is shadowed, but his glowing green eyes stand out the most. They shine like lights inside the darkness.
The Dark Arborist belongs to the forest. That is where his strength comes from. He does not carry a sword or a shield. His weapons are the roots, vines, and branches that grow around him. With just a lift of his hand, he can call them up to attack. This makes him a very tricky fighter, because he never runs out of tools. As long as there are plants around, he has power.
When you play the Dark Arborist card in battle, you get a fighter that does not depend only on himself. The land and trees fight with him. His attacks often catch enemies off guard. Vines can whip from the ground, thorns can grow suddenly, and roots can hold an enemy in place. That is what makes him strong.
This card is not only about power. It also shows defense. The Dark Arborist is hard to harm because he blends into the forest. He can stand still, and he looks like a tree. Many enemies do not even know he is there until he moves. This gives him an advantage, because he can strike first before they react.
Before I go further here are some materials i used for this work.

In Splinterlands battles, the Dark Arborist works best when he has support from other cards that belong to the earth or nature family. He fits perfectly with cards that use natural energy. He can also weaken enemies that rely too much on speed, because his vines and roots can trap them.
One key thing about the Dark Arborist is patience. He is not the fastest attacker, but he makes steady moves. Each strike can slow down an enemy or block them. If the fight goes on longer, his control of the field becomes stronger. He is the type of card you use to wear enemies down while your team grows stronger.
Below are my progress works
The design of the card is also very striking. The picture shows him with arms stretched wide, like a living tree, Although I couldn’t depict the arms in my drawing. The ground at his feet looks alive with vines. His body has no clear line between man and tree. This makes him look almost endless, like he could disappear into the woods at any time. His glowing eyes are the only part that never hides.
Although in my work I did a lot of improvisation, added some details to the work different from how the original looks of the character may be.
The Dark Arborist also gives a sense of fear. Even if you are not in battle, the image alone feels powerful. It makes you think of the danger of the forest when it is dark. That is why many players enjoy using him. He does not just fight. He also feels like a warning to enemies.
In simple terms, this card is all about control, surprise, and nature’s strength. It does not rush. It waits, it traps, and then it strikes. If you play him the right way, he can hold down the battle long enough for your other cards to finish the fight.
So, the Dark Arborist is a mix of power and patience. He uses the earth around him as his weapon. He can hide, strike, and defend all at once. His body looks like a tree, his eyes glow like fire, and his presence makes enemies nervous. That is what makes the Dark Arborist a special card to have in Splinterlands.
