Let's visit the Aunt!
Our hope is that she lives her old days with brightness and cheerfulness, hence my commitment to visit her twice a week; one is on Saturday for her to cook for us as cooking for people makes her happy and fulfilled, as well as another day visiting her on weekday after I buy her groceries. It was Saturday's visitation yesterday!
Sumptuous Healthy Lunch
Aunt prefers to cook Chinese or Hakka cuisine, and of course, we love to eat whatever she cooks. This time, she cooked for us a healthy 'loh han guo' aka monk fruit soup, minced pork ball with potatoes and stir fry mixed vegetables with prawns.

Minced pork ball with potatoes
This one she said she used longer time to cook. First gotto marinade the minced pork with soy sauce, oyster sauce and salt, added in some finely diced big onion. Gently shaped the minced pork ball with alternating spoon and small ladle and dropped the balls into the pan to pan fry. Brown both side of the minced pork ball. And then she prepared the sauce with minced garlic, soy sauce and oyster sauce as well, followed by adding the diced potatoes into the sauce to simmer till soft. Lastly, added in the cooked minced pork ball to mix together. Done! Super tasty!!!

Stir fry mixed vegetables with prawns
This one was super easy. Clean all the vegetables and prawns. Stir fry some onions and garlic till aromatic and adding in all the vegetables, cooked till soften abit, followed by adding in chicken stock and mushroom stock powder, lastly to add was the prawns as they cooked very fast. Voila! Healthy and nutritious!

Herbal Loh Han Guo soup
This one was without meat but she used chicken bones to boil the soup. She added in one Loh Han Guo ( the monk fruit), a handful of dried longan, lotus seed, red dates and Chinese yam. She said this was super good for lungs and throat. Yay! We all loved it. Very mouth-watering.

Our Lunch
It was a bliss to eat home-cooked food with healthy brown rice.

Secret Recipe Cakes!
In the evening, my husband felt like bringing us out for a treat. My youngest son and I had not been out for some eating out for 1.5weeks as I nurtured him to full recovery. We just stayed at home, except me running errands and part-time tutoring job.. He brought us to nearby Secret Recipe to give us the treat. Cheesecake and chocolate banana. While letting the son opened some cards! A good short time together and of course very yummy cakes!
