Hello Hiveans!I know most of you can relate to the story that I am going to share with you today!
Yesterday was one of the toughest times in my life. It was just one of those simple and quiet Saturday. My husband and I were just simply sitting side by side while sipping on our coffee to get through the morning. It was just one of those slow days and we are just talking and feeding the chickens.
The past few days, there was this cat, I don't know if he is a stray one or if he has an owner since he wore no collar at all. We noticed him outside our kitchen and begging for some cuddle. Yesterday, he jumped onto my husband's lap and rubbed his body against him. He was such a sweet feline. But all of a sudden he bit my husband's jaw. To his surprise he threw the cat away. Because we don't know the identity of the cat, we couldn't trace who his owner was. We couldn't ask for financial assistance for the vaccination. It was Saturday and no public hospital could give a free vaccination, that's what I knew of. So we had to rush to a private clinic to get a vaccination even if it's so costly. I could not deny the fact the burden it cost me. It really breaks our finances. Thankfully I remember I have savings in the bank. I was supposed to withdrew that money last Saturday but due to an inevitable circumstance, I delayed the withdrawal. Since the bank just issued a passbook we had to drove over 55 km just to withdrew my money. All of it. So goodbye savings! 😭How tiring it was since I am also experiencing an allergy attack and had to take antihistamine. When we get to our town, we had to rush to get medical attention because the bitten area is near the brain. We visited 3 private centers and the one that we chose was more affordable than the others. The first one was supposed to charge the experiences from his insurance, but the doctor was out for a seminar and we couldn't wait until Monday since the affected area is in danger. We had to get the shot as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, when we arrived at the center, the power supply was out. And we had to wait for the power to return because as the nurse said, they wouldn't open the refrigerator because it would damage the vaccine shots. At least it did not take longer to bring the power back.
My husband received 3 shots because it falls under category 3 which means he had to receive the Rabies Immunoglobulin (ERIg) immediately. It cost around 2000 pesos. He needs to receive anti-rabies vaccine and anti-tetanus vaccine too. So he got shot both deltoids, the left and the right and his jaw.
And all I had to do is have a bite on their complimentary candies. Why did I not take all of these candies instead???(Anyways, just finding humor amidst the stressful time)
That's all for my blog today! And oh by the way, we didn't do any harm to the cat. We felt pity on him because rumor has it that his owner left him behind after they move to another house. What a poor cat! And he is still here chasing those pesky mouse..All we can do now, is give him love and respect just like how we did to those other animals who seek refuge in our house.. I have 2 adopted dogs by the way. They just come here and sleep the night..At least I have to guards at night..
Bye!
