Hello everyone. How are you today? Well, it was a funny day experience when I went to DHL last month. I wanted to post the pictures I took here, but yup, I couldn't find a time. When we rode going there, we were lost because we depended on Google. The Google Map directed us to the wrong place. It was funny because we already passed by at their office, but the driver kept on insisting that she was right even if not.
My elder sister has lived in the U.S for six years. She studied nursing here in the Philippines, but she didn't finish. She only took nursing for two years. However, she graduated Business Administration. After her six years of live in America, she has finally decided to continue her nursing school there so she could work in a medical related job. She enrolled in East Peoria, but they need her origin transcript of record. So, we went to DHL to send it to her.
The cost of the piece of paper cargo is 75$ from the Philippines to the specific address. Yup, it is delivered directly to the school. The cargo's weight is o.5 grams. It is expected to arrive within 7 days, but maybe 4-5 days only if it is business days. I asked the employee if they could do it faster than the time frame they gave because the school asked her requirements immediately. They will close the enrollment sooner and my sister couldn't be enrolled if the requirements will not arrive at the expected time.
I thought that when we send a piece of paper going abroad, it is not costly to the fact that it's so light. But, I was so ignorant. The transcript was a piece of long bondpaper. If it was five sheets of paper, surely it was more than 75$. The DHL employee said that it could add the airplane's weight, but it'll arrive faster that is not longer than two weeks, if it is compared with a ship. I was conundrum how it could add weight, but yep, business is business. The good news was, it arrived at the destination for four days only. Wow, we were surprised because we expected it for 7 days. Anyway, bye for now. Goodnight!
