Happy Birthday to Me: Embracing Another Year

I’m still trying to find the best adjective to describe not wanting your birthday to ever come. Is there even a word for that? Every year, I wish my birthday never came. As 14th September approaches every year, I kind of feel a certain way. It has nothing to do with getting older but everything to do with being in the spotlight. The calls and text messages can be pretty overwhelming. For some reason, a lot of people know my birthday so it’s so hard to even hide it on that day. My birthday usually begins on a somber note but always ends on a celebratory note and I keep asking myself if it was gonna end like that from the beginning, why put me through so much stress? ohh my emotions get a grip mate!! Stop stressing me!!😂  So it’s been 365 days of living, learning, unlearning, relearning and growing into a fine lady. No loss, no breakdown, no regrets just living life one day at a time and loving every bit of it. So here I am, enjoying all the princess treatment for the day before it expires, I mean who wouldn’t?🥰🥰  It’s been going great so far and I’m thankful for all the wishes, prayers, and gifts, they all mean so much to me, and my heart is filled with so much joy.
