When the Ground Shakes at night

Life always give us a very unexpected twist throughout our journey.We always thought we are stable enough to face all the battles that we may face throughout the day but life always humble us.  The earthquake that wake the people in Cebu specially the Northern Part was very unexpected.Our class schedule before the earthquake happened was align already and ready for the grind,but that night – September 30,2025 exactly 10:00 PM . Everyone was sleeping peacefully,ready for tomorrow’s grind and the unexpected shaking happened. I was not sleeping that time because I am getting ready for tomorrow’s report when I feel a little shaking.At first,I didn’t mind it because I thought it was just a little shaking since we are in the second floor. As I thought it was safe,the ground humble me. It started to shake so hard that I called out my parents name from outside for help because I was already panicking.The electricity went down.I managed to crawl towards them and all we could do was to pray and cry. It lasted for a couple of minutes and all the neighbors are shouting to wake those who didn’t manage to wake up.As the shaking stop,I still could feel my two legs shaking. We immediately went down because we know that there will be an aftershock to that earthquake.I immediately called my siblings who are living in Tabogon.I was shocked to know that they experienced the strong earthquake. Our house was cracked open since it was made of cement and everything that was built with sweats had vanished in one blink Thankfully they are able to go outside to be safe .  We could still feel a lot of aftershocks and we are afraid to go inside our room.We stayed for an hour before we decided to go back inside.The rain started to pour endlessly,we are alert for a sudden evacuation because we are not miles away from the ocean. A sudden rain after the strong earthquake was so alarming.Thankfully it was just a rain without bringing anything that could harm everyone. During that night I realized that in just one blink of a strong tradegy ,all human living will vanished.We are just a small living creature,living in the world that provides us everything that we need.
