Everyone have worked in the hospitality sector for a while when growing up in teenage or when you're in university and have to pay fee's you often find people working as a waiter or any such jobs in hospitality sector
it's something that teaches you a lot about business and how you can grow over the time by valuing your customers, the place where I once worked had this thing like they don't call customers, we say they're guests to give them more respect as this is more valuable than profits. Your reputation is what gets you more people to your place, restaurant or hotel because people decide it through the reviews If they're trash no one will visit you and that things tells a lot about how ethics should be considered over profits while doing business but let me tell you about the place where I've worked and they had no work ethics but prioritise profits.

Profits over Ethics is a Good way to end business
So I was working in this fast food restaurant a while ago and they only prioritised profits over ethics and they were crushing sales Like each day making a million rupee sales which is good enough and more than most in that building All they ever did was going after profits, doesn't respect employees working there and don't care about them if they're sick or whatever While everyone had a day off and business in that building were closed for a day the owner somehow convinced to open his restaurant even when everything else was closed That's being greedy for profits, everyone of us thought we'd spend that day at home with family as it was a special occasion but they somehow had other plans Gave no benefits but the employees had to work on that day as well Did about 5 lac sale, from 10lac to 5 they still had celebrated it cause better than zero. Never paid on time, not valued employees Imagine giving zero fucks about people running your entire business yea that's how things used to be like They didn't cared cause they are making profits good enough to continue the way they do So kept on delaying salaries, instead of 4 day off.. they managed to reduce it to 3 day I even worked there when I was sick cause they won't give off... Literally passed out at work but still had to finish the shift. That's the kind of business that only lasts as long as trend keeps it pace, the moment trend is coming to an end.. the sunset will happen and that business will surely die. Already seeing a lot of reviews on the internet about that place being the cash grab, not valuing customer, employees only becomes a disaster... Top management is eating well while rest of people who are actually running everything is like eating shit. --- Wrapping Up... The day I'll run my business I know how I'll prefer ethics, customer over making profits.. money isn't everything, it won't come as long as you don't learn the ethics and valuing others. Especially the one who works with you deserve the best treatment. But well toxic workplaces are a thing and we have to deal with it cause there's no better opportunities. In the end I'd love to know what's your thoughts about it, do share in the comments. fin.Posted Using INLEO
