I was visiting the Meta Business Suite in the afternoon when I noticed a red dot on the inbox icon, indicating there was an unread message. I realized upon opening it had been there for over a month, and I'm only seeing it today, yikes! It's so odd that I missed it when I even replied to another message on September 1st.
Anyway, it's sort of a collaboration, a modeling gig for our little guy. Probably a one-time thingy. The sender is offering to give four of their products for our Yongi to wear, take a pic, and publish on Insta, which the company's page would then share to its half-a-million-plus followers.
Of course, I wasn't about to believe it at that instant. I am not that gullible. So off I went to Insta and checked the account that the message mentioned. It was there. It has products - toys, accessories, and clothing for cats and dogs. "Okay, so it's legit," I thought. Excitement crept in. Yay! Yay! Yay!
But then some concerns popped up.
That would mean they will know my name and address, since they need to send us the items (the paranoid side of me). Believe it or not, all our online orders are shipped to my sister's business address, not to any of our homes.
*"Use my name,"* the husband volunteered. "And for the shipping address, it's the usual," he continued. Okay, no problem then, yeah?
I am still a bit hesitant, but a wee voice at the back of my head was saying I should try. This could be an opportunity for our little guy to jumpstart an online career. Or for his page to gain visibility and followers (although I am not sure if I can commit to maintaining it. I just created it not so long ago, and only posted a few pics). But maybe, it will also become a kick in my *arse* to not be lazy🤣
So, it's a go then! Will send an inquiry very soon and see if the offer still stands (or maybe not)!
