Two Sunsets in a Week

**It's the new week, yay!** And the middle of the month too! Time flies, and life is indeed fleeting. We lost two on both sides of the family last Thursday. Dad's aunt (a grandma to us), and an uncle on the hubby's father's side. Both were sent to their resting place today, but we didn't go since we were at the final night of the wake yesterday afternoon (at the cousin's) and evening (at grandma's). We came home a little late, but were glad we made it to the curfew.

Grandma was 79. It must have been a year or so ago when I last saw and spoke with her. A very amiable woman who smiles a lot. That's at least how I remember her. She didn't make it through her fourth stroke. Some wished she had made it to her 80th birthday. But maybe it's Heaven's will, so she will no longer suffer. The husband's uncle, on the other hand, succumbed to a lingering illness. He was in his early 60s, so some people say life was a little too short for him. Yes, we all have our own time, but we all wish to live a little longer, yeah? I was having a conversation with my sister, and we shared the same thought. We wish to live a long life, but if it means being sick and unable to help ourselves, we'd rather have an earlier sunset. Anyway, I had a productive day (alas!) with some do-it-yourself thingy in the house. It involved hammering, grinding, cutting boards, and such. I somehow missed the thrill of a *"manly"* job, according to a neighbor at the other place. Well, as long as I can do it, there is no such thing for me. I'm not a *pabebe* (pah-beh-beh) as folks in our country say. I almost punched a hole in my left pointing finger, but I'm okay. The husband was discouraging me, but times like these, when I get to be active, are getting rarer, lol! Of course, I do pause before I get wobbly. Not abusing my strength, because I want to live longer in the pink of health. So yeah, tomorrow is another day😉
