Hello great travelers of this community!

Today, I want to share the experience I had yesterday. After some time, I wanted to post about something I did by bike again, because you all know how much I love cycling. I’m always on the lookout for new places to discover.

Yesterday was a beautiful day in my area near Milan. You could already feel the spring air, with temperatures reaching almost 20 degrees—a great temperature for this time of year. When the first warm days arrive, it’s always the perfect excuse for me to go on a nice bike ride.

So, I decided to take a great 60 km ride, round trip, along the Naviglio Grande, which has a beautiful cycling path between Magenta, Gaggiano, and Milan. I had already done this route some time ago, and I probably even shared some photos here in the community. However, it's always a beautiful ride, highly appreciated not only by us Milanese but also by tourists who visit Milan by bike.

I have to say, this route isn’t my absolute favorite because I personally prefer off-road trails, whereas the majority of this cycling path is paved. So, it really depends on personal taste—it’s a subjective choice.

One thing I love about this route is the presence of many water fountains, which I think are very important, especially for cyclists. At this time of year, you don’t need to drink a lot of water, but if you're there in the summer, a fountain can make a big difference.

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not a big fan of biking in winter. I can’t stand the cold! But I think from now on, the temperatures will no longer be so harsh, so I’ll definitely be going on more rides.

For me, this cycling trip is always interesting because it allows me to immerse myself in nature, enjoy the open air, and escape the chaos, hustle, and—most importantly—the pollution of Milan.

I noticed quite a lot of people along the route, not just cyclists but also walkers. In fact, I know many elderly people who walk several kilometers along this bike path. However, I must say that our Italian culture is still far from being truly cycle-friendly.

I hope you found this story interesting. Thanks for reading, and see you in the next post!
