Life is a gift

When we rise up from our beds in the morning it’s a moment of giving thanks to God almighty. This is due to the fact, that life is a gift it does not come from our works; it’s by Gods grace. Who on this earth can ever claim to have life because of their eating habits or the daily workout routine? Do these guarantee us life, well to some extent we can affirm to that in regard to good health? However were life is concerned surety is not given. You can have good health; nevertheless it can’t protect you from natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, and hurricanes etc. Moreover not only natural calamities can come our way there are accidents that happen such as road, water, air, rail way and any other accidents that can befall us. This gives us a picture that we are not in full control of what happens in this world. Life is a mystery just as deaths is the realization of this truth causes us as mortals to gain wisdom, although few people get it. What do we do with such realities? The moment of seeking answers and introspecting begins here. The journey of knowing that there is someone greater than what we see has its place in the anonymity of life. Some people can argue that thoughts of a supreme being have no place in this time and age well am not here to have a debate. However death in many circumstances sobers us up and brings that realism to a number of individuals. Daily on my social media feeds I see death notices and I take time to read comments on almost every notice. The common commentary on most of them is God help us. My reflection on this always know that the gift of life is not in our hands its Gods prerogative let’s give thanks to him.
