Walk of Hope update : Bamboo Bikes Creation for 2019

A few days ago, i had written about @walkofhope's intentions for 2019 here where simple bamboo bikes will be created, they will be more affordable than what are being made presently in Bayawan City in Negros Oriental. At present, the bamboo frames are covered with fiber glass, making it strong and unbreakable in whatever terrain. But one frame costs about $500, this with the other fixtures not included. @flabbergast-art believed that an ordinary Filipino will not be able to afford one.

To create an impact to the environment, for it to be adopted by the masses, a bamboo bike needs to be affordable.

To make this happen, a friend from Bayawan City will be joining @flabbergast-art in this venture. Together with @flabbergast-art, from Bayawan, they will proceed to Tan-awan so that they can start making them while @flabbergast-art finishes the ongoing projects there.

During one day of coastal clean-up, Noynoy (center) will be with us in @walkofhope's next venture. To the right is @flabbergast-art and Tatay Dagsa(L).

Today i was told that from next week, we will be starting a month treatment of bamboos as it will take a month. Sea water is effective as an old way of bamboo treatment.
