Even Life has its own plot twist; sometimes, we think we have made the worst mistake, but it turns out that we were right. We shouldn't give up whenever we do something, and we should normalize learning from our mistakes.
Our classroom blocks in school make use of long seats that can carry three persons, then two are kept on both ends during exams, while some invigilators go on to keep one person per desk. We had this tough thermodynamics examination and everyone knows how tough it is, our lecturer said;
> ***"If you think you understand thermodynamics, then you definitely don’t understand thermodynamics.”***
Since we didn't have much time to prepare for the exams, we stayed awake all night to study, solved questions with different formulas, and I went on to memorize theories and formulas that night. On exam day, we quickly arranged ourselves with a good seating arrangement, *you should know na, seating with friends and plugs.* The inviligator looked and gave a big laugh, he made a reshuffle as if we were Cards, the arrangements were so disorganized from what we had planned.
I could tell I had never seen this guy before in my life, let alone seeing him in classes; my seat partner was a guy who had just arrived on earth. I was just worried about some of the formulas I didn't memorize, but all good we got our answer booklets and question paper, I quickly glanced through the question paper and I saw most of what I studied at night, what I knew was just 70% of the whole questions and that is a good pass depending on how they mark the scripts.
We started as usual, and I started downloading things I read, making use of all the formulas, turning to my seat partner, who was just looking at me and nodding, I saw him as a cool guy too, so I showed him my work. While we were writing, the invigilator noticed and came to our seat, he warned him and left but still kept his eyes on us.
He signalled me that he wasn't able to see one of the formulas and I should script it for him on the question paper, I did that and tried to swap the question paper with his, that's when the inviligator who was at our back held us red-handed, he took our papers from us and scripted (-10) on the paper, I just left in annoyance and regret, though I answered just 3½ questions out of 5. My friends came to sympathize after the exams, I just said What kind of ***mistake is this***, I would have just focused on my work rather than helping out.

Fast forward to the greater scenario. In my 300-level, we had a fluid mechanics exam which was on strict conduct, the invigilator and the Course lecturer asked us to bring our Departmental Dues receipt before we would be allowed to write the exams. I took my receipt, and I was at the exam venue with my friends. The exam process started, and we were allowed in one after the other after a thorough search of our receipts. I showed mine confidently, and I was asked out. I was confused until I looked; I took my 200-level dues receipt instead of the 300-level since I kept them in the same place.
I was asked to go home and bring it; otherwise, I won't write. But I knew how long the journey would take. I rushed to the office of the secretary in school and begged for the memo I had given. I told them the case and the reason. They said they couldn't help. I'm now thinking of how I'll miss this exams, I felt frustrated and disappointed so I decided to step out, on reaching the door post I was called back by a different voice, I turned and it was that guy, the guy I helped in exams and we were both punished, he wrote a new receipt for me, something no one is allowed to do, but he said "because of that day oo" and he laughed. I rushed to the hall and wrote my exams well.
***The mistake I thought I made turned out to be something Good***. I forgot about the exam event, not knowing it would come out well. One good turn deserves another.
I would love to invite @johnmitchel and @us-andrew to join
peace and love 🕊️ ✌️
