I can now attest to the fact that life is a rollercoaster, it spins, moves up and gets down. This satisfies the fact that "***The downfall of a man is not the end of his life"***, the worst thing that could happen is to give up, when there is Life, there's always hope.
I could vividly remember how well I was doing in my academics in high school, I took 3rd position in a competitive class of over 40 people, things turned down quickly when I wasn't able to afford my school fees, I attended 50% of the classes, I missed several tests because of money. I saw how things turned right before me, what will I blame it on? I never gave up on school, I still held onto it and I went there any time I could, I tried keeping up with the scheme but you know it won't be easy.
Fast forward to now, I am currently in Uni 400lvl, as a result of not giving up. Life comes with up's and downs but the problem is how well you can handle them.
There's something I have actually noticed, ***The best time to understand and appreciate life is when you're down***, the imagination people that are not financially stable do have, they can draft out how they will make investments and so on, but some of them don't learn, when the money comes they flip it and get back to square one of another episode of imaginations.
I always use my Uncle's life as my case study, he started hustling at a young age, so he understands what suffering was, connections came and he went into driving, he would distribute foodstuffs around the country, you would only imagine the kind of profit he makes a day. The statement that says "***When money deh friend go deh***" is actually true, because his house was filled with so called friends, they eat anything they would love to eat, cos food wasn't an issue in his house. He did party alot whenever he had the time to, one shocking thing is that he didn't keep an asset, I don't know what ran through his mind then, a plot of land was as cheap as but he purchased trucks and cars.
These vehicles are machines and are subjected to failure, gradually he lost everything , he was sick to an extent he wasn't able to go out for work, thanks to his family that stood by him, he went back to square one, I think the next lyrics played, "***when money no deh friends ko go***". He was back to square one, the downside of life ones more. He learnt a lot of lessons, ***don't invest on people, invest in yourself*** and make plans for the future.
The best thing is that he didn't give up but he learnt from his mistakes, his selfless act didn't go void, he received countlessly.
So I have drafted lessons from it
- **Don't give up on yourself**
- **There's always a better tomorrow as far as there's life**
- **Invest more for the future**
