Success is more personal than we think, what other's think is just a mere achievement might be success for another person. We see success more as an accumulation of wealth, fame and status but that's just on a higher view.
Just think about it, you will discover more about success if you look at what you have achieved personally. Success is just in stages, just the way wealth has its stage, someone can be a millionaire but there are higher millionaires, like someone with a net worth of 500 million compared to someone with 2 Million naira but both of them are millionaires. I can make it academically and it is success for me, someone else can buy a Lamborghini and it's still success, it is more personal.
Our success story varies, I would love to tell you about my academic success story.
*Education system is quite tough in this era, but we don't joke with anything education, our parents cherish everything about school and they would do everything just to make you do well in your academics. I have 5 siblings, 3 of which were in University levels, the school fees, rent and money for projects were just too much to handle. My fees on the other hand was just a sub because I could just stay back without it having any impact on my stay in school compared to what my siblings will face if they don't make payments a semester, so the fees was paid for them instead, while I struggled to keep up with school*
*It was just an introduction to science class and I have already stayed back for a month due to school fees issues, one funny thing was how my mates were laughing saying my name was cancelled from the class register, that they thought I'm no longer a student, I just chuckled while I attended the class for the day, luckily for me a make up test was given for physics, we were given the questions, I didn't even know where to start but I thought I studied at home, it wasn't just enough, I just laugh at myself now whenever I remember those questions, they were basic questions about Velocity and motion*
*Trying to cope and cover up all those times I missed was just super tough and at the same time still battling on entering classes, many topics looked strange but I had to use extra nights to cover up. On the west African exams day, one of the subjects I was still held outside with threats that I won't write because I was still owing little, I just knew all these will pass away. Now look who passed with good grades, I didn't have anything below a C. ***Irrespective of how tough the process is, I always anticipate the Success Story***. I am still going and I will soon graduate from the University, that is success for me*.
