My Wedding Ceremony - Düğünüm [EN-TR]

After a few days, I'm ready to share the second part of my marriage, my wedding, with you. At the end of the previous post, I shared a spoiler with you. Let's continue where we left off.    After we were officially married, I lifted the veil and kissed the bride on the forehead.   It was time for our first dance, and I was extremely excited. My heart was pounding so hard it felt like it would jump out of my chest. Our first dance was perfect; I couldn't have asked for more. By the way, did you see the person setting off the confetti in the background of the photo? That's our “bridal coach.” The person who planned the wedding organization and made sure everything went smoothly.   My wife says black-and-white photos are always more beautiful. What do you think?   After the first dance, it was time to have fun. People danced to the music. Some local tunes were played, and they had a wild time. There was a small hiccup here—the orchestra played completely different songs than the ones we asked them to play, but it didn't matter because what mattered was that people were having fun. In the end, people had a great time.   After dancing to a few songs, our wedding cake arrived. We cut the cake and it was distributed to the guests. It was that classic cake- eating ceremony, but I won't share a photo of it here XD    Then we moved on to the jewelry ceremony. I don't know if this tradition exists abroad. We have a tradition where guests give money and gold to the newlyweds during the wedding. They contribute to the newlyweds' finances. I think it's a very appropriate tradition because expenses don't stop after the wedding. You also have to spend money on your new home.   Later, we took a few photos with our family. Some people had to leave the wedding early because they had traveled from far away. There were people I expected at the wedding who didn't come, and people I didn't expect who did come. It's strangely happy to see acquaintances you didn't expect to be there that day. It makes you feel valued. After all, no one can say anything to them if they didn't attend the wedding; everyone can find an excuse, but instead, they attended. I know none of them will read this post, but I thank them all very much. On days like that, you can see the friendships you've built more clearly.   Later, we moved on to the henna ceremony. Since it was the first time I'd heard of such a thing, I looked pretty funny carrying the henna tray. I didn't feel that way at the time, but my wife said I did afterward XD Sorry, this is my first marriage, so I might have some rookie mistakes 😅    Then another ceremony for the henna took place. My wife and the bridesmaids wore red outfits and took the stage.   I realized we have so many traditions. By the way, what do you think of my suit? How many points out of 10 would you give it? I planned to wear a tie until the last minute, but my tie mysteriously disappeared, so I decided to wear a bow tie instead. I think it suits me better.     The henna ceremony ended with my mother applying henna to my wife's hand. Another custom is to place a quarter gold coin in the bride's hand while applying henna.   One more dance...   It was a very hot July day, so later in the wedding I took off my jacket and continued like that. I think there was air conditioning in the wedding hall, but it didn't help much because it was so crowded.   One of the heroes of the wedding, my brother, worked very hard for everything there. When I was sweating during the wedding, he gave me a napkin, and when I had to take off my jacket, he put it in a suitable place. He was the one who danced with me the most at the wedding. I am in love with my wife; marrying her was one of the best decisions I ever made. I am so glad we joined our lives together, and I hope we will be together forever. May our home always be filled with health, peace, happiness, and prosperity. As long as we have these things, nothing can separate us.  After the wedding, the exhaustion set in. We were constantly on the move throughout the day and at the wedding, so we couldn't even move from our spot. If I remember correctly, I walked about 17,000 steps that day, and I was only wearing a suit. My wife walked about the same distance as me in a very heavy wedding dress, and it took me only 5 minutes to take off my suit. It took her about an hour to take off her wedding dress and hair accessories with her family. Every beauty has its price. Thank you so much for reading. That's how our first wedding was. İlk dansımız mükemmeldi, daha fazlasını isteyemezdim. Bu arada fotoğrafta arka planda konfetiyi patlatan kişiyi gördünüz mü? İşte o bizim "gelin koçumuz". Düğündeki organizasyonu planlayan ve her şeyin daha iyi olmasını sağlayan kişi.   Eşim siyah beyaz fotoğrafların hep daha güzel olduğunu söylüyor. Siz ne düşünüyorsunuz?   İlk dansın arkasından sıra eğlenmeye geldi. Oyun havalarında insanlar oynadı. Bazı yerel müzikler çaldı ve çılgınca eğlendiler. Burada ufak bir aksilik yaşandı, orkestra bizim onlara çalmalarını söylediğimiz şarkılar yerine bambaşka şarkılar çaldı ama önemli değil çünkü önemli olan insanların eğlenmesiydi. Sonuç olarak insanlar harika zaman geçirdi.   Birkaç şarkıda dans edildikten sonra düğün pastamız geldi. Pastayı kestik ve davetlilere dağıtıldı. Gün boyunca ve düğünde sürekli hareket halinde olduğumuz için yerimizden kıpırdayacak halimiz yoktu. Yanlış hatırlamıyorsam o gün 17000 adım falan atmıştım ve benimki sadece takım elbiseyleydi. Eşim benimle yaklaşık aynı adımı üstünde çok ağır bir gelinlikle yaptı, üstelik benim takım elbiseyi çıkarmam 5 dakikamı aldı. O ise gelinliği ve saçındaki tokaları toplamda 1 saat gibi bir sürede ailesiyle çıkardı. Her güzelliğin bir bedeli var. Okuduğunuz için çok teşekkürler, işte ilk düğünümüz bu şekildeydi.
