A day at the pool with my grandmother and aunt | [ENG/ESP]

Hi everyone, a few days ago my aunt came up with a little plan: a day at the pool with my grandmother. I must say that, as such, we hadn't been to the pool in a long time, and more than anything, we also wanted my grandmother to be there and have some fun outside of the house, especially since she hadn't gone out for a different moment in a long time. So, the place we chose to go was the Aguas Termales Hotel and Spa, located here in the city, known for its sulfur-laced waters, which are good for the body. >Hola a todos, hace unos días surgió un pequeño plan por parte de mi tía, el cual fue un día de piscina con mi abuela. Para esto debo decir que, como tal, no habíamos ido a la piscina en muchísimo tiempo y más que todo también queríamos que mi abuela estuviera allí y tuviera un rato de diversión fuera de casa, más que todo porque hacía mucho no salía a pasar un momento distinto. Así que el lugar que elegimos para ir fue el Hotel y Spa Aguas Termales, ubicado acá en la ciudad, característico por sus aguas con azufre que son buenas para el cuerpo.    For this day, the plan was the following: we had to go first to my grandmother's house, my sister and I to comb her hair and organize everything and from there begin the adventure that was last Wednesday, since it is a day that is dedicated mostly to older adults so they can exercise and do therapies in these medicinal waters, so once there and with everything ready, we headed first towards the city center in private carts and from there we took a route that would take us to the door of the place, and on the way we were making jokes and laughing a bit. >Para este día, el plan fue el siguiente: debíamos ir primero a casa de mi abuela mi hermana y yo para peinarla y organizar todo y de allí comenzar la aventura que fue el día miércoles pasado, ya que es un día que está dedicado más que todo a los adultos mayores para que hagan ejercicio y terapias en estas aguas medicinales, por lo que una vez allí y con todo listo, nos enrrumbamos primero hacia el centro de la ciudad en carritos particulares y de allí tomamos una ruta que nos llevaría hasta la puerta del lugar, y en el trayecto estuvimos haciendo chistes y algo de risas.    Being here was partly a bit nostalgic, as I worked there for almost two years. However, this time we were going to spend some time with family, and well, I spent time greeting former colleagues and sharing experiences, mostly in the reception area, where we arranged to pay for my aunt, my sister, and my tickets, which came to $3.50 each, since my grandmother's ticket was free. >Estar en este lugar en parte fue algo nostálgico, pues trabajé por casi dos años allí; sin embargo, en esta ocasión iríamos a convivir un rato en familia y, bueno, estuve saludando a antiguos compañeros y compartiendo experiencias, más que todo en el área de recepción, en donde nos dispusimos a pagar las entradas de mi tía, mi hermana y mía, las cuales salieron en 3,5$ cada una, ya que en el caso de mi abuela tenía entrada gratis.      The day was between cloudy and sunny, so it wasn't too hot, and one of the peculiarities of the pools we were in, which were in the area opposite, is that, apart from being medicinal, one of them is hot, with a warm temperature for the body and effective for relaxing muscles and tension, of course, as well as the powerful smell of these alkaline waters that are very close to the spring that provides these medicinal minerals. >El día estaba entre nublado y soleado, por lo que no hacía tanto calor, y una de las peculiaridades de las piscinas en las que estábamos, que eran las del área de enfrente, es que, aparte de ser las medicinales, una de estas es caliente, con una temperatura cálida para el cuerpo y efectiva para relajar los músculos y tensiones, claro, así como el potente olor de estas aguas alcalinas que están muy pegadas al manantial que provee estos minerales medicinales.     That day, there were also groups of seniors doing therapy and exercises both inside and outside the pools, as well as others who are brought in for weekly treatments for skin, circulatory, and muscle conditions. My sister even met acquaintances who were doing their physiotherapy internships there, something she will soon be doing as well. >Ese día también había grupos de abuelos, los cuales estaban haciendo terapias y ejercicios tanto fuera como dentro de las piscinas, así como otros que son llevados para tratamientos semanales, tanto por afecciones de la piel como en circulación y musculares; incluso mi hermana se encontró con conocidos que estaban haciendo sus pasantías de fisioterapia allí, cosa que pronto le tocará a ella también.    We spent a good few hours there, mostly with my grandmother on the shore in these shallow pools. We went from the cold to the warm, cracking jokes while taking in the scenery and sharing anecdotes. We mostly walked around in the pool, since we don't know how to swim, and even though my aunt told us that we would float, we just couldn't, and we just laughed. We also enjoyed some drinks, coffee, and some bread with ham and cheese that we had already prepared for us to enjoy. >Estuvimos unas buenas horas allí, más que todo con mi abuela en la orilla y en estas piscinas que no son hondas, y pasábamos de las frías a la caliente haciendo algunas bromas mientras veíamos el paisaje y contábamos anécdotas, y más que todo estábamos caminando en la piscina, ya que no sabemos nadar y, aunque mi tía nos decía que para que, aunque fuera, flotáramos, simplemente no lo logramos y nos echamos a reír. También disfrutamos de algunas bebidas, café y pancito con jamón y queso que ya habíamos preparado para disfrutar.     It was a truly relaxing and peaceful day. We were there from morning until 2:30, and we let loose so much that the drive back felt long, as we were quite sleepy from exhaustion. Even when we got back to my grandmother's house, she fell asleep immediately, resting from the day, as did my sister and me. After sharing anecdotes about the day and arriving back home, we also fell asleep. >Fue un día relajado y tranquilo, la verdad. Estuvimos desde la mañana hasta las 2 y media y nos soltamos tanto que, de regreso, se nos hizo largo el trayecto, ya que veníamos con bastante sueño por lo agotado; incluso al llegar de nuevo a casa de mi abuela, esta cayó dormida al tiro, descansando del día, así como mi hermana y yo. Luego de contar anécdotas del día y llegar también a nuestra casa, también el sueño nos ganó.    --- So, this was our adventure on a very different pool day we haven't had in a while, which was a lot of fun and filled with new memories for everyone.
