Fabuloso and Ricotta: A Book for Cat Lovers | Fabuloso y ricotta: un libro para los amantes de los gatos

Hello everyone, a while back, my father was given a number of books, and my mother, sister, and I were looking through them to see which ones we would keep or if there were any that interested us. The thing is, before I started this task, they just passed me a book that, according to them, had something I would really like, and when I saw it, it did, so today I'm sharing a book for cat lovers: "Fabuloso y Ricotta," by Blanca Streponni in collaboration with Analiesse Ibarra. >Hola a todos, hace un tiempo a mi padre le dieron una cierta cantidad de libros, de los cuales mi madre, hermana y yo estuvimos viendo para ver con cuáles nos quedaríamos o si había alguno de nuestro interés. La cosa es que antes de yo ponerme en esta tarea, justo me pasaron un libro que tendría, según ellos, algo que me gustaría mucho y, al verlo, en efecto, así fue, por lo que hoy les compartiré un libro para los amantes de los gatos, el cual es "Fabuloso y Ricotta", de Blanca Streponni en colaboración con Analiesse Ibarra.    To begin with, this one belongs to a collection of books by "Los Libros de El Nacional," where, through weekly deliveries, each copy was acquired, mostly bundled with newspapers. It was also produced by the publishing house CEC;SA here in Venezuela and was published in 2001, a time when it was very common to have or pay attention to weekly collections of books, which ranged from educational books to books on history, stories, anniversaries, or, as in this case, about animals. >Para empezar, este pertenece a una colección de libros por parte de "Los Libros de El Nacional", en donde, a través de entregas semanales, se iban adquiriendo cada ejemplar, mayormente viniendo junto con periódicos. Así mismo, está elaborado por la editorial CEC;SA acá en Venezuela y su fecha de publicación es del 2001, fecha en la que era muy concurrente tener o estar atento a colecciones semanales de libros, los cuales llegaban a ser didácticos, de historia, cuentos, efemérides o, como en este caso, de animalitos.    One of the most notable features of the collections from this period, which we can see in this book, is the high-quality material used. Although it was a weekly issue along with the newspaper, this book is hardbound and has very thick pages, which has kept it in good condition over the years. The choice of colours and images gives a visual taste of the topic, something that is not often seen in new or recent collections that are released. >Una de las características más a resaltar de las colecciones de esta época y que podemos ver en este libro es el buen material de calidad de estos, ya que, aunque era una entrega semanal en conjunto con el periódico, este es un libro empastado y de hojas muy gruesas, cosa que ha hecho que se mantenga su buen estado a través de los años, así como una elección de colores e imágenes que dan todo el abrebocas visual de lo que es el tema, cosa que no se llega a ver en nuevas o recientes colecciones que llegan a sacar.    Now, in this book, we see the story of Fabuloso, a cute orange cat, and his life and how he deals with getting used to the arrival of another new friend at home, Ricotta. It's a very graphic book, and more than anything, we enjoy the images that advance as we turn the pages, filling us with tenderness and joy. Even for those of us who have cats, it becomes very familiar in terms of what the experiences are like. >Ahora bien, en este libro vemos la historia de Fabuloso, un lindo gato naranja, y su vida y cómo este enfrenta ese acostumbrarse a la llegada de otro nuevo amigo a casa, el cual es Ricotta. Es un libro muy gráfico y, más que todo, vamos disfrutando de imágenes que van avanzando a medida que pasamos las páginas, llenándonos de ternura y gusto e, incluso, para los que tenemos gatitos, nos llega a resultar muy familiar en cuanto a lo que son las experiencias.    Although it's not very long, it keeps us looking at the photos of these little ones again and again. They're also typical of what we, as owners, would take to capture the moments and memories of our pets to show everyone, and they make us smile when we see them. And as a curious anecdote, every time I open this one, one of my cats pays close attention to the images, even playing with the book a little, which makes it so cute. >Aunque no es muy extenso, hace que nos quedemos mirando una y otra vez las fotos de estos pequeños, además de que se ve que son totalmente las típicas que nosotros, como dueños, tomaríamos para guardar los momentos y recuerdos de nuestras mascotas para mostrar con todos, y que al verlas nos llegan a sacar unas buenas sonrisas. Y como anécdota curiosa, cada vez que abro este, uno de mis gatos se queda muy al pendiente de las imágenes, incluso llegando a jugar un poco con el libro, lo cual lo hace tierno.    Personally, I'd love to have the complete collection of these books; however, I haven't been able to find any information on this one, and even if it were just another book, especially given the age of the collection (which has been around for years), it's a great gift for pet lovers, or even for teaching children about what kittens typically look like from a visual and entertaining perspective. >Personalmente, me gustaría tener la colección completa de estos libros; sin embargo, no he podido conseguir información sobre esta y, aunque fuera un libro más, y más que todo por el tiempo que tienen, pues ya son años, sin embargo, es un buen regalo para aquellos amantes de las mascotas o incluso para instruir a niños sobre cómo suelen ser los gatitos desde un punto de vista visual y divertido.   --- So without further ado, here's my book for this week.
