Good evening Everyone πŸ’™ Hope you're all doing well and having a lovely week I'm doing okay too Today , I'd love to share with you all the processes I used in making this beautiful cargo skirt for myself for my FYB Day , Jersey Day.

Okay so, in one of my previous posts recently I mentioned how FYB week is being done and as part of the FYB week , it was time for the Jersey Day. After I had purchased my Jersey, it dawned on me that I had nothing to wear it with and since I was a fan of gowns and not skirt or trousers, I had no skirt to wear the Jersey with so I came across this beautiful skirt on YouTube and then decided to recreate it for myself even when I had less than 24 hours left. Let's move on to how I made the skirt: This skirt was just like a regular skirt so the cutting was almost the same , the only thing that differentiated it was the fly zipper and then the pockets I attached to it. I folded my fabric into two and then marked out my waist, hips and full length measurement adding one inch allowance for sewing and half inch for ease and the cut it out. After doing that, I folded my fabric again to cut out the back side of the skirt, it had no zipper allowance so I just cut it the same as I had cut out the front

After cutting out the basic skirt I moved on to cutting out my fly zipper which was about 6 Inches long and 2 inches wide and the I attached it the the front of the skirt accompanied by a zipper to make a fine outfit. After adding the zipper, I drew a line across so that I can top stitch and make a curved line that was like a design

After adding the fly zipper at the front, I moved onto the cutting of the pockets and the cover .For the pockets I cut out 6 by 6 Inches since I didn't was them too big and for the cover I cut out 5 by 7 inches of which I later folded the five to become 2 half which I'll use half inch to sew in making it 2 inches wide

After here, I attached the pockets to the skirt although there was no time to snap more steps since I was running out of time and I needed to read too in preparation for the exams that day. I moved on to cutting out the waist band which I measured through the waist on the skirt and the wideness was 4 inches so that after sewing I'll have 1 and a half inches

I attached the waist band to it and did some hemming at where necessary and my skirt was ready to be worn, I was so lucky that I met up with timeπŸ₯° This is the outcome of the lovely skirt

I hope I did a nice job though πŸ’™ Thank you so much for stopping by , I really appreciate 🀎πŸ”₯πŸ₯°πŸ’“πŸ’ƒ
