Good evening my fellow Needle workers Hope you're all doing well Happy new week from here, hope the week is already fruitful and treating you well So today, I'd love to share with you the steps i used in making the two piece (Skirt and top) for myself to join my friend for her birthday photo shoot

Actually, my best friend informed me of this photo shoot a night before the D day and i had nothing nice to wear, and since i was going to take pictures too i had to look for something new to wear, and then i remember the material my boss gave me when she was arranging her materials, little did i know that it could achieve something this unique within the night These are the materials and steps i used in making the cloth Materials: - Vintage material - Zipper - Black thread - Sewing machine

Steps involved were: Starting with the skirt, i folded my fabric into two using the biggest measurement which was the hips to determine the breadth of the Skirt, after then i measured a normal skirt , using my waist, hips and full length measurement and marking on the fabric, I the made a slant from the lower part up to where the hips start from and it gave me this , I placed the cut out material on another fabric and cut out the same thing plus a zipper allowance to get the back of the skirt

I sat on my machine and joined both sides using my body measurements and the cut another long material that i used for the waist band and then added the zipper

Moving forward to the top:

I folded my fabric into two, the front side was a sweetheart neckline and so to cut it, I off 5 inches from my tape and measured her half length and marked on the material, I marked the bust and waist measurement too and the gave a curve by the middle to create the sweetheart neckline

For the back , I placed the flont on it and added one inch zipper allowance and cut It out

After cutting it out, i proceeded to joining the body using my accurate measurements and the held the darts for the top After joining the body, i had to cut out my sleeve and attatched it to the cloth using the facing so that the sewing wont show at the top To finalize the whole thing i had to attach the zipper using the exact inch i used while cutting and that was all concerning the top

I was surprised i was able to sew this within few hours at night and it came out really nice with no mistakes, Even when u wore it , i got lots of complements, i guess its a gradual process and I'm actually improving each day

Thank you so much for stopping by, i really appreciate your support and concern, Byee everyone ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’•
