I don't know if there are any more sharks to jump at this point. The game started out with the Archon War a war between gods. Then we started learning about these dragons that preceded the gods. We got much more of them in the current Natlan region where it stopped really being about classic dragons and more just humans with lizard faces and tails that were far more advanced than humanity. And what better way to cap that off than to say these dragons created advanced AI and robot clones to take over the day to day administration of their cities?

And then we end up on a robot story which seems to always go in one direction: Robots hate humans. Robots want to take over and kill all the humans. One robot is good and undermines this plan in order to save the humans she has bonded with. It was Alan Tudyk's robot in I, Robot versus the villainous VIKI and then Marvel filmed Avengers Age of Ultron with Vision opposing Ultron. Now miHoYo's tossed their hat into the ring and Ineffa is opposing -ahem- Ix Raq'lapuj Chue'q Buluk Ch'ule-L the Mirror of the Dawning Morn.

And these good robots usually get depicted with being different from the other machines since they have a soul. Alan's robot was built with free will and emotions. Vision's programming is built upon the infinitely powerful Mind Stone. Ineffa collected 2000 years worth of memories that sparked something called the Moon Wheel which essentially gives her a soul and potential to ascend into divinity.

This quest was meant as a starting point for the next part of the story in Nod-Krai, Snezhnaya. However the story mainly focused on Natlan and tied up some of the loose ends with nothing really learned about the new region other than what we already knew.
