Everybody wants to his successful in life, and to achieve success, we are doing hard work as well as making efforts. Some people say that success is a destination, and some people say that it's a journey. Whatever it is but what is the definition of success? Can you define it? The answer can be the most difficult to answer, and again, it can also be easy. [ImgSrc](https://unsplash.com/photos/silhouette-photography-of-man-at-beach-b-Y5bl_SNcI) From one perspective, success can be considered as a destination. In that case, we set a destination to reach and we take little steps (effort) towards the destination. Every effort as well as steps we take lead us closer to our final destination. When we reach our final destination, we consider it a success. As humans, we think differently and our mindset is also different, and in the case of setting a destination must be different. So, defining success based on destination is not possible for everyone, as the destination is different for each person. Let me share an example of it to make it understand better. Suppose for a job holder, saving 1 million dollars is the destination to reach. The person thing that if he is capable enough to have 1 million dollars of money in his savings, he can live a comfortable life without being worried about anything. In his opinion, reaching the savings of 1 million dollars is financial success for him. Let me take another example of it. In this case, I am considering someone rich. For that rich person, reaching 1 billion dollars in savings is nothing. The person set his goal to save 1 billion dollars. He thinks that after being able to save that amount of money, he can live his life how he wants. So in his opinion, saving 1 billion dollars is a success. From their own perspective, both of them are successful, but it also represents that the success is not the same for everyone, and so, just based on the destination, success can't be defined well. How can it be defined even if both are successful from their own opinion? I also think that both are successful, and we just need to think about it from a different perspective to define success. Let me share a simple definition of success. And the definition of success is "being satisfied with the achievement is called success". It's a very simple statement, and the example I mentioned earlier can also explain it. In the first example, the person who can save 1 million of dollars to live a comfortable life, which is successful because he is satisfied with 1 million dollars. In the second example, the person can save 1 million dollars easily, and in that case, he is not satisfied with one million. You want to save more, and that's why he set his target to 1 billion. He can be satisfied after saving 1 billion dollars. The success depends on the mindset of people, and unless they are satisfied with their achievement, they are not successful in life, even though they may be successful in the opinion of others. Achieving satisfaction in life is very important, and that's why, in the case of setting a destination, it is necessary to set a destination that is achievable; otherwise, chasing the so-called success is impossible to achieve. In such a situation, you may consider us successful, but we consider ourselves failures in our opinion, and without satisfaction, it can't be considered as success. ---------------- *This is my entry post for the IndiaUnited community contest.
