Human thoughts change from time to time, and it is very natural. The thoughts of an ancient person are not the same as those of the people of the present time. As an example, it can be said that in the past, I mean ancient times, they were worried about how to hunt for the arrangement of food, while the people of the present time are working to earn money, which is indirectly fast food, but there is a massive change in the system. And in this case, the change happened because of time. Again, having different thoughts on a particular thing at the same time is also possible, just because of the generation gap. Let me share some examples from real life to make it understandable. [ImgSrc](https://www.pexels.com/photo/woman-showing-her-cellphone-to-her-grandmother-3768148/) For example, I am considering the elders at present and the young ones. Obviously, there is a generation gap, and with the generation gap, there is a difference in thoughts, and I am going to explain it. It actually exists even though we are living at the same time. At first, I am starting with the sleeping time. The elderly ones always prefer to go to sleep early because they have the mindset that the night is for sleep and the day is for working. Having such a thought is logical, and somehow it fits the present world, but in the case of sleeping early, the majority of young people are not ready for it. They go to sleep late; at least 12 a.m. is expected. Except for some exceptions, I haven't seen any young ones like me going to sleep before 12:00 a.m. It's because the young ones are mostly spending their time on smartphones, and it delays their sleeping time, which the elderly people are not addicted to. I am not here to say who is right and who is wrong or what is ideal. I just want to say the difference between mindsets still exists. Let's bring a topic that is related to my culture. In my country, most of the marriages are arranged marriages till now. But the situation is changing. Now, many people are interested in getting married after having a relationship. When the elders of the present time were young, love marriage was rare, and finding a partner for themselves was mostly done by their families to arrange marriages. They used to think that love before marriage was a kind of crime, and very few people dared to do so. The elderly people still have a similar mindset and resist, while their child finds a partner for themselves. The young people have a totally different mindset now. The majority of them are very interested in relationships, and they want to get married to the person whom they find for themselves. Such a mindset just happens because of the generation gap, because the elders cannot understand the young ones, or they cannot get the vibes of the young ones. In the case of our elders, they always prefer the offline work because, in their time, earning from online was impossible. They saw many things in this digital world, but still, most of them resist believing that one can earn the amount of money online through which they can run a family. Elders think it's a very risky step, while the come-ons think that it's a piece of cake for them. They believe that online earning can offer them more opportunities compared to the offline world. If you ask me, I also think the same, but still, I want to continue both offline and online work at the same time to ensure the maximum benefit. Let me explain it with an example. My parents know that I earn a little from online, but if I tell them I am going to develop an online career and ignore the offline career, they will resist for sure because they know that it is possible to make money online, but they are not ready to believe that it is enough to run a family and have a good life. What actually created the differences between the two generations, or how did the generation gap create the differences in thoughts? The answer is very simple. It's become the available facilities and opportunities. I think they would think the same if they also received something similar to what we have or got similar opportunities. They have already developed a fixed mindset that resists change. What can eliminate the difference in thought just because of a generation gap? I think in such a case, the younger generation has a tiny scope because it's difficult for them to change the minds of the elders. But the difference can be reduced a lot if the elders have the mindset of adapting to change. They can try to understand the younger generation better and become friendly to them. And this is the most suitable way to reduce the difference in thoughts because of the generation gap.
