Yesss!!I I Won a Free Travel Accommodation | One Lucky Weekend

" Luck is what Happens when Preparation meets Opportunity " _{- *by Seneca*} A quote that always reminds me of a great philosopher saying that we are the ones who will create our own luck. We need to be prepared and knowledgeable enough in every situation to be successful when we meet an opportunity. I believe that being prepared is a big part of being Lucky and the difference between the Lucky and Unlucky one is all from our point of view. We don't need to depend on luck, just work hard to hit the mark of success.  These beliefs pop up again in my head Last September 11, 2022, when I won free travel accommodation in Badian Cebu and Canyoneering adventure in Alegria. Yes, I won two travel opportunities that day. > **Here's What Happens;**  It is Sunday afternoon that I visited Robinson's mall Galleria in Cebu to check out the department store for new shirts. I think I need to change my shirt I don't know why I feel that my shirts are getting smaller in the long run 😅. Then after buying some shirts, I roam around and see what the event is in Robinsons' Hall cause I heard someone singing. At first, I thought it was a singing contest for the upcoming Christmas season. Most of the singers sang Christmas jingles. While hanging around on the 3rd Floor, I notice that their booth stations were in the area. It got my curiosity, so I went down to find out what it is.  To find out, the booth is not just about the upcoming Christmas Celebration but also promoting tourism in different municipalities in the Southern Part of Cebu. It makes me excited to explore all the booths when I discover the different tourist spots that I don't explore yet. As you all know I'm an avid Traveler, who love to explore and discover new fascinating place and know their culture.  The event is called **"Pasko Sa Septimo Distrito"**. An event initiated by eight municipalities in the Southern part of Cebu (*Municipalities of ALCANTARA, MOALBOAL, MALABUYOC, DUMANJUG, BADIAN, GINATILAN, ALEGRIA, and RONDA*).Each Municipalities booth, showcase the tourism, culture, delicacies they have, and the history of their beloved town. I visited every booth to discover what they can offer for Local travelers like me. - **Municipality of Alcantara**  The Municipality of Alcantara, Showcases its culture and tourist destination in this booth through paints. They also display their delightful Peanut butter and a chili sauce product. In this Municipality, you will discover a lot of Historical places like **Pelourinho** and beautiful beaches like **Itatinga Beach**. - **Municipality of Moalboal**  The Municipality of Moalboal has an underwater get-up. It showcases how the municipality is riched in its marine life. It is one of the famous tourist destinations on the island of Cebu due to its diving activity where you can swim together with sardines and sea turtles. They also present one of their best products Bangus in oil. - **Municipality of Malabuyoc**  The municipal booth of Malabuyoc highlights their town fiesta Bulahanon Festival, Their Handcraft bags products that are made of recycled plastic, and also their delightful delicacies Binangkal. I discover in this booth the **Kabutongan Falls** and a hot spring called **Mainit Springs**. learning about these places excites me to explore them. - **Municipality of Dumanjug**  The Municipality booth of Dumanjog offers their best **Lechon Manok** in Town, together with homebaked delightful cookies that you will surely love. They also present their local product of Vinegar. The Municipality also has interesting places to explore like **Camboang Marine Sanctuary** and **Pityak/Tubod-Duguan Falls**. - **Municipality of Badian**  The Municipality of Badian is one of the known travel destinations in Cebu. It has a lot of Breathtaking places like the **Kawasan Falls and Lambug Beach** that will satisfy your lust in the Summer season. The Municipal Booth also display their Local Handwoven product such as Banig and Bags that are made of dried leaves of Buri. They also share their cookies and other delicacies. - **Municipality of Ginatilan**  The Municipality Booth of Ginatilan highlights one of the grandest falls in Cebu The **Inambakan Falls**. they also share their local product of Vinegar and homebaked cookies. Also, in this municipality, a Filipino saint named Pedro Calungsod was born and raised. - **Municipality of Ronda**   The Municipality booth of Ronda Highlights their delicacies like **peanut brittle** and Homemade products like **Humba de Ronda and Chorizo de Ronda**. They also have vinegar Products. You will also be excited to visit the Tourist Destination they have like the **Marine Sanctuary of Ronda**and the **Kabuhian Falls**. - **Municipality of Alegria**  The municipality booth of Alegria showcases the best product in towns, such as turmeric powder, Moringa tea, a coffee powder made of Corn, and Banana Chips. The booth also introduced a lot of travel destinations you must explore. Actually, I've been to Alegria once and I do a Canyooneering with my friends in Wonderfall Falls. It is a long way of adventure but satisfying. These Municipalities Join together annually to present and promote the tourism of every municipality that they proudly have and they love to share it with everyone. ___ > **How did I Win?**  While I visit the Municipilitie Booth, the event on stage is ongoing, the production number, the singing contest, and others and I don't mind it. Then, at the last part, every Municipal Tourism office ask a question to everyone and whoever answer it correctly got a prize. The prizes are not simple, it's either a product from their booth or free Travel Accommodation. When I heard a free Travel Accommodation, It ring a bell in my head, I stop checking the Municipal Booths and focus on the questions 😅. **Then I answered two of what they asked and won two Prizes🤣**. I hesitate at first to answer cause I don't know If allowed to do it and I'm glad that they let me answer some questions.

Question No. 1:  Give me at least Tree tourist destination in Badian that is under the 
                  Tourism Program of Badian.

My Answer:        Kawasan Falls, Lambug Beach, and Badian Highlands

Prize:            Free Travel Accommodation in Banamboo Resort for One night Good for two 
                  person

Question No. 2:  What are the exact days of the Kawayanan Festival in Alegria Celebrated and 
                  who is the saint of this Festival?

My Answer:        December 2-3, and it is celebrated in honor of St Francis Xavier 

Prize:            Free Canyoneering Adventure in Kawasan Falls Good for Two Person

I was overwhelmed by the prizes I won that day and I can't believe it happen. Am I lucky enough to have this? or maybe being an avid traveler help me out to win this. I love traveling and I search for places I want to explore. I collected some information about places I want to discover. It is for me to be prepared when I'm in that area. So, I know where to look up information about a travel destination and I believe it gives me the advantage to answer this.  _{*Me with Tourism officer of Badian claiming my Prize and dont mind my slipers 😅*} That's it Hivers in my one lucky weekend.
