My thoughtful wife @betterbeing (who knows that I get cabin fever if I'm stuck in the house too long) surprised me with a trip to this lovely park today. It was our first time visiting this park and it did not disappoint. It was just what the doctor ordered for me with it's wide open spaces, lovely lakefront and peaceful paved trail. Being outdoors and engaging with nature always has a way of calming, soothing, and centering my soul. I hope you get a taste of the experience as you take this walk with me.
Water has so much beauty and serves so many purposes. It really is a source of life to every living thing while also offering solace and a range of activities. The way it reflects the sun and the sky is mesmerizing.
No waterfront is complete without a bit of sand. We found this small beach like spot tucked away just off the trail. Nothing compares to the beauty of water running onto a sandy shore.
As the seasons change so do the colors of nature but there is beauty to be found no matter the time of year. There is something grounding about the earth tones of the fields and hills as they await blooming season.
Green is often the color of life in nature. These leaves remind me that some life remains and new growth continues even in the coldest, most barren of seasons.
Just as the sun rises it will set again. Some of the most amazing views I've experienced have been while the sun is heading to its slumber.
