Well, there it is. How do you recover from this?
Spoiler Alert: I think the writers of this show are on drugs or getting inspired by the Indian TV soap opera.

@ryivhnn, @screenjournal, @bhattg and everyone have been warning me about this. But I had to see this by myself to believe. And they weren't lying. Season 3 is worse than season 2. I think the writers forgot that they were working on a horror genre. At this point, I am more afraid of the writers than the nightmonsters.
No, really, if you know a person who can delete the monsters out of nightmares, just run. I dont know what happened, maybe the monsters got cold after shooting episode 1 of season 3 in the snow. Because they were missing from the rest of the season. I was scared the entire time watching the show. I was afraid that if all of a sudden somebody wanted to talk about their feelings, like ‘I’m scared,’ or ‘We can’t go home.’
It takes special skills to turn a horror series into a talk show. Yup! That's what it feels like.
Somebody be like, “You dont know the things I’ve seen” The other guy will be like Select one dialogue from this default list “Please talk to me. I am here for you. You are not alone in this. We will get through this. This place… it changes you.”

You may think I'm overreacting to it. But hear me out. They spent the entirety of season 1 making the forest a scary place. Monsters live there, and they come at night. By season 3, they turned the nightmare forest into a picnic spot. People are going in without any fear. And use that as a camping site now. They go there, harvest, stay the night there and return the next day. It really pisses me off. The Ethan kid and poor Julie go deep into the forest, and Julie gets hit by a seizure. The little kid ran back to the village and got help. Waaaahhhhhtttt!!!
Another issue I can see. All the key characters were just boring in this season. Boyd was very reactive; he was acting without much clarity all the time. Shouting and picking fights. Donna got the same treatment as Julie, forgotten and just in the background. They killed the sweet lady Tian-Chen, Tillie, and I think Jim begged the writers to write him off the show after hearing the reincarnation story. The only characters that made progress but in the wrong direction, were Jade and Tabitha. Also, the visions It was so common that people stopped reacting to them and telling others..
And sorry if it feels like I am hating on the show or the writers. But that's not the case. I love watching movies and series as they are a form of storytelling. And I also know how difficult it is to keep the story engaging and at the same time make progress. I know the writers are trying their best to make the story move forward (Or stalling, as per the instruction from the guy who is paying). As for the actors, they are doing an awesome job with what they've been assigned. I guess we have to wait for another season to find out the ending. I know very well that if I were in that town, I would be completely useless. I wouldn't be able to help anyone as I'd be busy changing pants 6 times a day, 7 days a week
Hi Folks,
