“What nonsense, Man!!!, Bakwaas movie?” inuke was furious that I took him to this drama. “It wasn't Thhaaaat Bad, could have been a lot worse.” I tried defending the movie. “Worse?? Dude has to give up a million dollars all because of his love, and moved to a sh!tty neighbourhood. I dont know what can be worse than.. THAT..” “Yo!! Money isn't everything, dude?” “Says a broke person,” inuke fired back. “Hey!!!..” I couldn’t counter properly. I mean he is right. A million dollars is hard to walk away from.
“Haan, Tell na. Say some cliché reasons like love, loyalty and other stuff can’t be bought with money. Love?? Huh!! I got a million dollars in my account. Love will walk up to me. Loyalty?? I will hire the best security and advisors you know How.. The million dollars in my account.” inuke was getting on my face. “Agh! Just let it go, bro. It's just a movie.” I asked inuke to drop. “No!! I need to make sure that you are not going to make some dumb decision like giving up a million dollars to charity.” “I have 1300 INR in my account right now. At this point, I should be getting charity.” I asked inuke to let me off this.
“Yo!! What if you win a lottery, and what will you do with that amount?” “Dont worry, the last thing I won was 10% off on a BOAT product. So chill.” I replied. “NO PROMISE ME.!!! That you wont give away a million dollar to a charity.” “The F**k, get off my back. What's with you, man? Its just a stupid movie. And I dont have a million to give away.. Now go away.” Now, Inuke started to get on my nerves. “Not unless you promise.” “Aghhh!!!” I let out a deep sigh. “I promise. Now please GO..” “Say, I promise that I will not give away a million dollars as charity under any circumstances” “Gggghhhaaaa!!!” I threw the empty chocolate box on him, which passed through and hit the wall.
“Say It..” “I promise that I will not give ….. This is stupidity.” I realised that all this is nonsense and pointless. “Ah haa!!, So you are planning on giving that big amount to charity??” Inuke jumped again. “Hey Bhagawaann!!! Dude, are you on something? Where are you going with this?” I pleaded inuke for some relief “I mean, the dude was living the best life, and something happened, and he gave away such a big amount to charity and went broke. What message does it give to society?” inuke is still fuming.
“The message is earn and do whatever with the money.” “No!!! It's promoting financial ignorance. He could have saved it, invested it, fixed-income-ed it and probably contributed more to society as a consumer, Infact he could have ensured that the small charity was done with the returns. But that dumb guy gave it up to the homeless. They are not going to buy a home or anything; that money is down the drain. Arrrgghhhh!!” inuke anger still pouring out. “Alright!! Alright!! Chill. Ok, I will not give away million dollar to charity. OK? Now go away.” I said with the expectation that he would disappear from my vicinity. “Hmm, Theek hain..” “Great!! Now go away.” I let out a sigh of relief. Inuke wanted to say something, but paused. “Spill it out, I dont see how you can irritate me beyond this,” I asked him to speak.
“I was wondering if someone kidnaps your Wife and demands that you do a charity. What would you…” I swung a punch but the dude vanished before contact.
