We stop in front of the Saint-Pierre Gate, a remnant of the old fortifications, visible from the Riomet Garden, a peaceful spot that also features a lovely fountain.
Following the ruins of the castle, Victor Gardeur Alley offers several remarkable viewpoints: you can see the Saint-Jean Gate and enjoy a panoramic view of the town and the valley. Higher up, the medieval castle dominates the landscape. At its foot stands the town hall, symbol of the administrative and historical heart of Château-Thierry.
This walk combines nature, heritage, and beautiful views of a town full of character.

Nous nous arrêtons devant la Porte Saint-Pierre, vestige des anciennes fortifications, visible depuis le jardin Riomet qui est un espace paisible où se trouve aussi une jolie fontaine.
En longeant les ruines du château, l’allée Victor Gardeur offre plusieurs points de vue remarquables : on y aperçoit la Porte Saint-Jean et une vue panoramique sur la ville et la vallée. Plus haut encore, le château médiéval domine le paysage. À ses pieds, on distingue l’hôtel de ville, symbole du cœur administratif et historique de Château-Thierry.
Cette promenade combine nature, patrimoine et belles perspectives sur une cité pleine de caractère.
