Hello foodies, it's a new day and a midweek. Trust we are having a good one. It's been raining for some time and it's quite cold here so for breakfast, I made shakshuka eggs.
Did you know that shakshuka eggs is that dish poached in tomatoes, pepper, oil garlic and other spices? The word shakshuka comes from the Arabic dialect which means 'mixed'. Learned something new there. So here are the ingredients I used for my Shakshuka eggs.
• 7 eggs
• 1 kilogram of tomatoes
• A handful of scotch bonnet peppers
•. 3 cooking spoon of vegetable oil
•. All purpose seasoning powder
•. Garlic and ginger spice
Preparation
Wash and blend the tomatoes and peppers
Peel and chop the onions
Crack the eggs open into a bowl and add a pinch of seasoning powder and salt
Pour the oil in a pan and place on medium heat
When it heats up add the chopped onions and bended tomatoes and peppers then leave to fry for a few minutes
Add the seasoning, salt, garlic and ginger powder to your taste
Whisk the eggs and seasoning and add to the tomato sauce
Mix mix mix as it cooks up and after a few minutes your shakshuka eggs is ready. You can have it with bread and tea like I did. Enjoy!
