Hoy me levanté riquísimo (es/en)

Ayer llegó el agua 💦. Pude darme una ducha. Fría, porque ya querer usar el calentador es mucho de mi parte. A mi hermano le dio eso que insistimos en llamar “la taranta” y se puso a tirar agua y limpiar la casa. Era una escena solemne en la que yo, con las patas subidas a la silla del escritorio lo veía limpiar frenéticamente de punta a punta de la casa, sabiendo que si algo detesta en el mundo es limpiar… Por eso hice silencio y me quedé quieto dejando que exorcizara en su performance toda la impotencia que le generan las largas jornadas en las que Acueducto no pone agua.  A mí me encanta la casa limpia e iluminada. ¡Mira que dos antojos para estos tiempos! Pero ayer con el tanque lleno, tenía miedo de que volviera a acabarse el agua porque sabrá Dios cuando la pongan de nuevo. Vamos, que yo hubiera preferido un pasaíto de colcha por el trillo. Pero entendí a mi hermano y por eso guardé silencio y me quedé quieto. En la ducha también me sentí culpable por semejante derroche de bondad revolucionaria. Como llevaba días a cuenta gotas, cargando galancitos de 5 litros y lavándome solo “las partes”, era necesario una ducha de esas largas en las que uno se restriega y piensa en cosas bonitas. Abrí un jabón Camay y todo, aún cuando quedaba uno de esos de frutas en la jabonera. Me sentí dichoso y agradecido, porque eso dice el manual para ser feliz en la vida.  Hoy me levanté riquísimo, hice mi Café Cardentey y llegó la luz. Así que podré escribir en la mañana. Tengo agua y corriente en esta mañana. No sé si llorar de felicidad o agradecer a esta Revolución por esos dos logros. ¡Agua y corriente en una misma mañana! ¿Quién lo diría ? So I kept quiet and stayed still, letting him exorcise in his performance all the helplessness generated by the long days when the aqueduct does not supply water. I love a clean and bright house. What a pair of desires for these times! But yesterday, with the tank full, I was afraid that the water would run out again because God knows when they will turn it back on. I would have preferred a little walk with a quilt on the path. But I understood my brother, so I kept quiet and stayed still. In the shower, I also felt guilty for such a waste of revolutionary kindness. As I had been living on a drip for days, carrying 5-litre bottles and washing only 'the parts', I needed one of those long showers where you scrub yourself and think about nice things. I opened a bar of Camay soap, even though there was still one of those fruit-scented ones in the soap dish. I felt happy and grateful, because that's what the manual says you should do to be happy in life. Today I woke up feeling great, made my Café Cardentey and the electricity came back on. So I'll be able to write in the morning. I have water and electricity this morning. I don't know whether to cry with happiness or thank this Revolution for these two achievements.
