This week I decided to join Ladies of Hive Community Contest #256. They had very interesting topics to think about.
Between 2 options I decided to go for the first one Spices make life and food interesting! If a spice could describe you and your personality, what would that spice be and why?
First, how many spices do you know? Red and Black pepper, salt, ginger, saffron, vanilla, cinnamon, etc. If me make some connections between the spice and personality, I would say that red pepper is about energy and hot. Salt is assosiated with difficult person, black peppe is a serious person. Ginger is a person that gives energy, boosts. I don't have any specific reason why I made these connections. It is just the way I feel.
And among all these spicies I think I am closer to the ginger :)
If we think about the main qualities of ginger, it gives energy, invigorates, adds spiciness to a dish, and at the same time can sometimes taste a little bitter. This balance of ginger is very attractive. For some, it may seem sharp or bitter, while for others it feels warming and soothing. Ginger is also often used for healing purposes—especially for colds or when the immune system is weak.
That’s how I try to be as well: I smile at the people around me, share positivity, and try to uplift others. At the same time, I sometimes need something like ginger myself—to recharge and regain energy. But yes, sometimes I can also be a little mischievous or even moody, especially when I come across very difficult people.
Still, what I really want in life is balance, just like ginger has. Balance between giving and receiving energy, between work and rest.
I personally love ginger. I add it to my dishes, and I especially enjoy teas with ginger and honey.
Now it is time to have a cup of ginger tea :)
