Hola queridos amigos de #Greenzone, es sábado, día en que les traigo las Pinceladas sobre arte. Muchas veces me han visto con esta taza y es porque es muy comoda y hermosa.
Comencé esta columna animada por @restaurador, luego por @cumanauta, a los cuales les dediqué las primeras Pinceladas, donde hablé de pinturas famosas; luego de la curiosidad del Arte Lego. Pero es útil que hable de lo que no está en internet.
Seguramente todos los cubanos tienen en sus casas una pieza de aquel llamado proyecto Arte en Casa, comercializado por Artex. S.A, en toda la isla.
Ahora es común ver algunos emprendimientos hacer transfer de imágenes a un suporte ya sea textil, ceramica, o lona. Pero hace unos años era una novedad.
Esta Pincelada se la dedico a @neuropoeta y a @charjaim quienes desde diferentes países, las atrapan los detalles artísticos en el hogar.
Este proyecto Arte en Casa, llevó a los hogares las obras de innumerables artistas cubanos: Amelia Pelaez, Wilfredo Lam, Zaida del Rio, Roberto Fabelo, Ernesto Garcia Peña, Arturo Montoto, Pedro Pablo Oliva y muchos más
Para mí como para muchas personas, decorar el hogar con obras artísticas trasciende la mera estética; es un acto íntimo de creación y afirmación. Cada pieza que elijo y coloco en nuestras paredes o estantes es un fragmento de nuestra historia colectiva, un testimonio de lo que valoramos, lo que soñamos y lo que amamos.
En Cuba no tenemos poder adquisitivo para comprar obras de arte originales, por tanto este proyecto era lo mas cercano a satisfacer nuestro sueño.
Históricamente, el hogar ha sido nuestro dominio, nuestro templo y en el conservamos nuestros tesoros: estos objetos que aquí muestro fueron regalos de mis amigos; igual ellos recibieron comprados por mi.
La satisfacción de rodearnos de objetos utilitarios transformados por el arte es profunda. Un salero, una taza, paraguas, delantal, cepillera, toalla o una cortina de bañadera dejan de ser meros soportes para convertirse en obras cotidianas de belleza y significado.
Cada uso se torna un ritual íntimo, un recordatorio de que el arte no solo se contempla, sino que se vive. Estas piezas entrelazan la funcionalidad con la emoción, infundiendo poesía en los actos más simples.
En cada objeto esta la huella de un amigo, el cariño por dar algo hermoso y perdurable. Yo que me desenvolví en el medio artístico, supe de la preferencia de los artistas por estos objetos y cuando alguno tenía la posibilidad de plasmar su obra en estos objetos, sentíamos regocijo.
Arte en Casa es también una oportunidad de aprender del arte y sus creadores. El arte educa nuestra mirada y moldea el gusto estético. Al interactuar con estas piezas, nos interesamos por valorar la técnica y la emoción reflejada.
Esta oportunidad de tener Arte en casa nos permite apreciar la belleza Constantemente; discernir y construir nuestro propio criterio artístico.

Art at Home - Brushstroke IV
Hello dear #Greenzone friends, it's Saturday, the day I bring you Brushstrokes about art. You have often seen me with this mug because it is very comfortable and beautiful.
I started this column encouraged by @restaurador, and then by @cumanauta, to whom I dedicated the first Brushstrokes, where I talked about famous paintings; then about the curiosity of Lego Art. But it is useful to talk about what is not on the internet.
Surely all Cubans have a piece from that project called Art at Home, marketed by Artex S.A. all over the island.
Now it is common to see some ventures transferring images to a support, whether textile, ceramic, or canvas. But a few years ago it was a novelty.
This Brushstroke is dedicated to @neuropoeta and @charjaim who, from different countries, are captivated by artistic details in the home.
This Art at Home project brought the works of countless Cuban artists into homes: Amelia Pelaez, Wilfredo Lam, Zaida del Rio, Roberto Fabelo, Ernesto Garcia Peña, Arturo Montoto, Pedro Pablo Oliva and many more.
For me, as for many people, decorating the home with artistic works transcends mere aesthetics; it is an intimate act of creation and affirmation. Each piece I choose and place on our walls or shelves is a fragment of our collective history, a testimony of what we value, what we dream of, and what we love.
In Cuba, we do not have the purchasing power to buy original works of art, so this project was the closest thing to satisfying our dream.
Historically, the home has been our domain, our temple, and in it we keep our treasures: these objects that I show here were gifts from my friends; likewise, they received ones bought by me.
The satisfaction of surrounding ourselves with utilitarian objects transformed by art is profound. A salt shaker, a mug, umbrella, apron, toothbrush holder, towel, or a shower curtain cease to be mere supports and become everyday works of beauty and meaning.
Each use becomes an intimate ritual, a reminder that art is not only contemplated but lived. These pieces intertwine functionality with emotion, infusing poetry into the simplest acts.
In each object is the mark of a friend, the affection for giving something beautiful and lasting. I, who moved in the artistic milieu, knew about the artists' preference for these objects, and when one had the possibility to imprint their work on these objects, we felt joy.
Art at Home is also an opportunity to learn about art and its creators. Art educates our gaze and shapes aesthetic taste. By interacting with these pieces, we become interested in valuing the technique and the emotion reflected.
This opportunity to have Art at Home allows us to appreciate beauty constantly; to discern and build our own artistic criteria.
