Tengo la certeza que las flores existen para mostrarnos que todos tenemos un lado hermoso que puede brotar en las peores circunstancias. Por estos días estoy triste por tanta gente dañada, por tantos bienes perdidos y por tantas incomprensiones. Tuve momentos de angustia por mis amigos incomunicados, entre ellos @maylink, @marabuzal y @daddyvaldes.
Encontrarme con esta flor al amanecer del huracán y ver una flor cada día, es esperanzador. La primera flor de este algodoncillo. A primera vista creí que era marpacífico.
Nunca había visto esta variedad de flor de algodón así compleja y de color rosa. Es hermosa hasta el encanto. Nace encapsulada y luego es blanca.
Nuestro ser transita así por los prismas emocionales; a veces blanco, a veces rosa, a veces gris. Unas veces vibrantes y otras marchitas. Eso somos, flores con capacidad para sobrevivir ante los embates de la naturaleza, las fuerzas oscuras y aprender de ello.
El algodoncillo se destaca por su utilidad y su belleza discreta. A menudo descartadas como simples malezas de camino, estas plantas guardan en sus tallos, hojas y esponjosas semillas una rica historia de sanación. Su misma naturaleza es la variedad; no son una sola planta, sino una familia, con diferentes especies que se adaptan a varios suelos y climas.
Algunas son bajas y extendidas, como arbustos apegados al suelo con hojas anchas y aterciopeladas. Otras crecen altas y erectas, con tallos lo suficientemente robustos para resistir el viento. Esta diversidad es un testimonio de su carácter resistente.
La verdadera magia del algodoncillo, sin embargo, reside en sus propiedades medicinales. Durante generaciones, los curanderos tradicionales han recurrido a esta humilde planta para encontrar alivio. Las hojas, cuando se machacan y se preparan en forma de cataplasma, pueden aplicarse sobre heridas e irritaciones de la piel, conocidas por sus efectos calmantes y antiinflamatorios.

Splendid beauty healing souls
Greetings to this #GreenZone community. On gray days due to the weather and the devastation left by nature, it can also, with its power, give us acts of faith and personal growth.
I am certain that flowers exist to show us that we all have a beautiful side that can bloom in the worst circumstances. These days I am sad for so many damaged people, for so many lost possessions, and for so many misunderstandings. I had moments of anguish for my friends who were out of communication, among them @maylink, @marabuzal and @daddyvaldes.
Finding this flower at the dawn of the hurricane and seeing a flower every day is hopeful. The first flower of this milkweed. At first glance I thought it was marpacífico.
I had never seen this variety of milkweed flower so complex and pink in color. It is beautiful to the point of enchantment. It is born encapsulated and then is white.
Our being transits thus through the emotional prisms; sometimes white, sometimes pink, sometimes gray. Sometimes vibrant and other times withered. That is what we are, flowers with the capacity to survive the onslaughts of nature, the dark forces, and learn from them.
Milkweed stands out for its usefulness and its discreet beauty. Often dismissed as mere roadside weeds, these plants hold in their stems, leaves, and fluffy seeds a rich history of healing. Their very nature is variety; they are not a single plant, but a family, with different species that adapt to various soils and climates.
Some are low and spreading, like shrubs clinging to the ground with broad, velvety leaves. Others grow tall and erect, with stems robust enough to withstand the wind. This diversity is a testament to their resilient character.
The true magic of milkweed, however, lies in its medicinal properties. For generations, traditional healers have turned to this humble plant for relief. The leaves, when crushed and prepared as a poultice, can be applied to wounds and skin irritations, known for their soothing and anti-inflammatory effects.
An infusion prepared with its roots and leaves has been a common remedy for centuries, used to relieve coughs, colds, and fever. It acts as a gentle expectorant, helping to clear the lungs. Beyond respiratory ailments, this infusion is also known to soothe stomach discomfort and digestive complaints.
Adding to its charm is the surprising variety of its flowers. Although they are often imagined as a simple white fluffy ball, the milkweed family boasts a subtle palette of colors. The flowers can appear in clusters of pale pink, soft lavender, or even a faint yellow.
For now, I gift this beautiful flower in all its splendor and color for the healing of the souls of all those who are today caught by nostalgia and the damn circumstance of water everywhere.
