Our family is sustained by quality protein sources - we're always looking for affordable protein, without having to supplement with powders and bars.
Besides meats and dairy, we rely very much on eggs as an affordable source of protein, but things have changed. What used to be less than a dollar, 12 eggs have become more costly than a pound of beef.
The biggest problem isn't just the price, but the limit. Our family can easily go through 6 dozen eggs in a single week. Now we can only purchase a limit of two per shopping tripping.
