This morning after breakfast (but before 15 minute cleanup) the girls stated a game of the card game "war". They really enjoy the game because it's simple, quick and doesn't leave a big mess behind.
When one player wins, they smile and take the cards. When they loose, they keep a good attitude and go on to the next round.
It's not about the game, but about the attitudes. It's good practice to enjoy the wins, but not be disappointed with the losses.
I'll be moving on to a new job in the next few weeks and it will involve many "losses" and a few "wins". The wins are what make it all worth the while and it's ok to have many losses (which only costs me time and effort) and a few wins (which wins me many great rewards).
Watching my children play with a good attitude is a lesson for daddy, to also have a good attitude.
