***English Version*** ### **Walking Among Collections** You don't necessarily need a big budget or an exotic destination to have a different and fun day out. Sometimes our cities offer us free, centrally located opportunities where we can take our minds off things and immerse ourselves in worlds that are somewhat unknown, yet full of details and rich in knowledge. In general terms, we are talking about spaces where we can interact with many people, discover new experiences, and have wholesome fun. >***Versión en Español*** >### **Caminando Entre Colecciones** >Para poder pasar un día diferente y divertido no necesariamente se debe contar con mucho presupuesto, ni escoger un destino exótico. A veces nuestras ciudades nos regalan oportunidades gratuitas y céntricas, en donde podemos distraer la mente y al mismo tiempo sumergirnos en mundos un tanto desconocidos, pero al mismo tiempo llenos de detalles, ricos en conocimientos y en términos generales hablamos de espacios en donde podemos relacionarnos con muchas personas, descubrir nuevas experiencias y divertirnos sanamente.  This is how I stumbled upon a very interesting event, an exhibition whose main theme was a collectors' exhibition, where we could stroll through interesting numismatic displays, but where I would also find such diverse items as collections of sports figurines, albums, cards, postcards, stamps, and military items, the latter highlighting those used during World War II. >Es de esta forma cómo me tropecé con un evento de características muy interesantes, ya que se trataba de una exposición cuya temática principal era una exposición de coleccionistas, en donde nos podíamos pasear Por interesantes muestras numismáticas, pero en donde también encontraría elementos tan diversos como colecciones de estatuillas deportivas, álbumes, tarjetas, postales, estampillas y artículos militares, en este último renglón destacando aquellos que se utilizaron durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.        When I heard people talking about collectors, I always imagined that this was a trend that was more common in North America and some European countries, but during this visit, I realized that here in Venezuela we have truly incredible potential in this area, since this exhibition not only allowed us to see national items, but also served as an open portal to the history of the entire world, breaking down the limits imposed by time and the distances marked by borders. >Cuando yo escuchaba hablar de coleccionistas, siempre me imaginaba que esto era una tendencia que se podría encontrar con mayor facilidad Norteamérica y algunos países europeos, pero en esta visita me di cuenta de que acá en Venezuela contamos con un potencial realmente increíble en esta materia, puesto que en esta muestra no solo podríamos observar elementos nacionales, sino que se trataba de un portal abierto hacia la historia del mundo entero, en donde se rompe con los límites impuestos por el tiempo y las distancias marcadas por fronteras.       In this great exhibition, each element has its own story, sometimes a narrative of success and happiness, but on other occasions, there are elements that take us back to a rather dark past in the history of humanity, but despite their impact on society, it is a reality that is impossible to forget. >En esta gran exposición cada elemento cuenta con su propia historia, a veces es una narrativa de éxito y felicidad, pero en otras ocasiones se trata de elementos que nos retrotraen a un pasado bastante oscuro de la historia de la humanidad, pero que a pesar de su impacto en la sociedad, es una realidad imposible de olvidar.    With all this, I want to explain that my experience of observing each of the details of this exhibition allowed me to delve into a sea of feelings and emotions, as each piece is charged with and at the same time transmits its own energy, capable of touching our soul and transforming our spirit. >Con todo esto quiero explicar que mi experiencia observando cada uno de los detalles de esta exposición, pueda adentrarme dentro de un mar de sentimientos y emociones, ya que cada pieza está cargada y al mismo tiempo transmite una energía propia, capaz de tocar nuestra alma y transformar nuestro espíritu.     Unlike the outings I am used to, this trip turned out to be much calmer, but at the same time very profound, where I learned many details about a world that is somewhat unknown to me. At the same time, I enjoyed every explanation, every conversation, and every discovery.
