There's so much gratitude these days, even having a small plot of land to plant with various vegetables, plants, and trees that will produce local fruit, including priceless flavors in this day and age. There are so many instant, manufactured foods, but none can beat the benefits of real food from nature.
This is a real expression of gratitude, even if you don't have a lot of money in your bank account. However, a wise life is understanding the meaning of enough. Don't worry about luxury; as long as you can feel better than yesterday, that's the most important thing in life.
Like my morning, I was greeted by a spray of some vegetables that needed more attention today. For three days in a row, the air had been too dry for these vegetables, and it turned out they needed me to spray them with a little water to rehydrate them. Even though they had water from the hydroponic box, they still needed a little water on the surface of the leaves. That's something I often do to keep them growing well.
Two vegetables returned at the beginning of October: lettuce and water spinach, which were also still small. It seemed all the vegetables were growing well this time, despite the slightly changing weather every day. Hydroponics is a growing medium that requires a lot of sunlight, but it still requires water on the leaf surface due to excessive exposure to light and heat.
I also noticed several things, including my hydroponic box, which was now too old, with moss growing on the surface. I really wanted to replace it, but Styrofoam boxes like this are hard to find because they used to be used for imported wine packaging. Now, they're replaced with plastic baskets that can't be used for that.
I also replaced the celery in the pot. A few months ago, the celery started to rot and needed to be planted again. I harvested all of it and started growing new seedlings. As you can see in the photo, they're still very small, and I've replaced the growing medium. Some pots still have the old celery, as it's still manageable. I checked the roots to see if they were rotting.
I replaced the rest with new leaves, but I forgot to take a photo of the transformation from seeds to small leaves like this. A little busy with everything, but this is the result of a month of growing seeds into several celery leaves.
