My favorite thing to do in Old Bagan was move from one temple to another. It is like explore an ancient city that was once so glory. I feel like i am one of the people from that era, and that fantasy made the whole trip even more exciting. Why did I think of that?
Likewise, there are interesting stories here, including discovering unique temples with their own beauty. The stories are even more captivating if you find people willing to help you and who speak English. But don't worry, there are people you can talk to, and finally, I found this temple.

Who wont have thought, this temple has a view right behind it. If you climb to the top floor, you can see the surround trees. It's not like a city view, but you can see beauty nature here. Believe me, Old Bagan is truly like a city far from technology. Everything is still pristine and beautiful, even though the warmth of the sun is little annoying.
There are many other temples surrounding this temple, so the view is truly one of temples and temples. And of course, if you're lucky, you might spot a herd of cows being fed. It's a very exciting experience, and I often see them on the road, as I rent a motorbike here.

Not only the view, but inside there's a Buddha statue. The difference in this temple is that the Buddha statue is gold, even covered in cloth. It's evident here that the Buddha statue is highly revered, and it's clearly visible from the many people praying. The temple itself is indeed crowded, even a bit crowded, as we took turns taking photos behind the temple.
This is one of the temples that's quite high, as you have to climb the hall stairs to pray. This seems to be built to avoid flooding or to reflect the grand architecture. But the exact reason is unknown; I'm just guessing.

As in the photo above, I can see people from above, and even wooden houses, stalls selling souvenirs or flowers used for prayers. However, temples like this are rare in Old Bagan. Almost all of the temples are built flush with the land.
Its so helpful to ask lots and get information from the locals Old Bagan. This way, you can learn about the temples that are well known among the locals, sure. Usually, temples known to outsiders in Myanmar are difficult to find, especially now that the insurgency is raging, and getting tourist information is a bit difficult due to the political turmoil.
