Every place have own unique beauty, depend on one's perspective. This an unforgettable journey, explore a place that held perfect value before me. I call this place random, but I was actually just curious about what the temples in Old Bagan were like.
A story that happened at that time. My partner and I were on our way to a destination, but we encounter an unexpected incident that often happens on trips. We booking an electric motorcycle, because that was the only vehicle available here. The battery ran out midway, and we had to push it to the hotel.
However, I only remembered that there was a cell phone number written on the motorcycle, but I realized it halfway through the journey. It was about 2 kilometers on a fairly heavy motorcycle, and pushing it was a long way. Even just carrying our bodies was quite strenuous.
Finally, after waiting for the motorbike rental owner, we stopped at a very random place. At first, we just took shelter, but it turned out that waiting wasn't an easy activity. To kill time, right in front of us was a temple that looked beautiful and worth stopping by. We hoped there would be locals and we could ask for a drink.
But, there was no one there. There was just an empty, but very clean, temple. It even seemed to be padlocked, preventing entry. I figure this must be a treasure temple for the locals, since it was so tightly guarded and securely locked. Of course, I didn't dare break into the temple, only looking from the outside.
It was an interesting temple. It was very spacious from the fence to the inside. Red soil was visible throughout the area, but despite its dry appearance, there were plenty of plants growing there. Unlike the desert, there was still a bit of land for plants to thrive.
The temple had a golden dome. It looked like it was paint gold, not plated gold. The temple had interest decorations, but it was so different; it looked like it had just been restored with new cement. It look like a mosque, but this a Burmese temple, and there was a Buddha inside hall.
There was no movement inside, it was just my partner and I. We even manage to take photos throughout the temple, but there still no sign of our motorbike rental owner. Finally, we waiting for 15 minutes, and then he arrived with another electric motorbike with a fully charged battery. It seemed he was waiting for the battery to be fully charged before giving it to us. Luckily, we were safe and sound, except we ran out of time for breakfast at the restaurant.
