Bohol Trip : " THE CHOCOLATE HILLS " Part 1 💜

Hello Hivers!👋This blog that I wanted to share is one of the prime tourist spots here in the Philippines which is the CHOCOLATE HILLS!🏞🗻 I still remember when I was in Grade School, my Teacher in Hekase subject discussed Chocolate Hills, back then, I only see it in the book but now here I am exploring it.😅❤ [//]:# (!pinmapple 9.889694 lat 124.212721 long Bohol trip chocolate hills Part 1 d3scr)  Last January 2022, my uncle planned to go to Bohol with his Mother and I didn't expect that I would be with them going there. I was really happy at that time because I am now able to experience the travel that I dreamed of. 😅  We stayed in South Palms Resort Panglao for three days and two nights.  Uncle rented a car and a tour guide for a day trip, maybe he paid 2000. It was so much fun that day because we only went a lot in one day and the good weather came along. ❤  Our first stop is Hinagdanan Cave next is The second oldest church in the Philippines the Baclayon Church, The Blood compact shrine in Tagbiliran, Bilar Man-made forest, Bohol, Tarsier Sanctuary, and lastly is Chocolate Hills. Bohol is a historical Place, I will post all spots I've been to on my next blogs so stay tuned, 😅 but first I'd like to feature it here, the CHOCOLATE HILLS. 😅  Chocolate Hills is located in the Carmen Region on Bohol Island, Philippines, from the area of Panglao, it's a 70 km drive that takes almost 2 hours to reach the Chocolate Hills. The entrance fee is 50 pesos.  _{*The entrance of the Chocolate Hills viewpoint. Photo not mine because I forgot to capture it 😅 So, I got it on Facebook.*} Our tour guide gave us trivia about Chocolate Hills while driving, chocolate hills are limestone that is covered with grass and appears to be bright green during the rainy season and they turn brown by the end of the dry season.  When we got there, we climbed first more than 200 steps stairs, to see the beautiful view of the Chocolate hills. It was tiring, but when you got to the top you will lose all your tiredness because of the beautiful scenery, you will be able to breathe fresh air and it is as if you have nothing else to think about. We stayed for a while at the viewing deck. A great photo opportunity, the funny thing is I made uncle a photographer.😂   _{*I'm pretending here that I can see something 😆*} Chocolate Hills also offers facilities such as restrooms, a restaurant, and a souvenir shop. I would definitely recommend you visit at sunrise and by arriving early in the morning as we did, you’ll most likely have the whole viewing deck to yourself. We then headed back to Panglao where we completed our souvenir buying spree including famous local delicacies like the Peanut Kisses, Otap, and Kalamay. It was a great experience because I never thought I would be able to go to places that are impossible for me to go and I am thankful to Uncle and Lola (Grandmother). ❤ That's it Hivers for my exploration here in Bohol part 1.
