Today I will tell you about one of the most valuable collections in the Aceh Museum. The collection is in the form of traditional jewelry from the Kingdom of Aceh in the past. Most of the jewelry is made of gold, there is also some that is made of silver. The motifs of jewelry are varied, the shape is very beautiful, even now the motifs are still used by gold and jewelry craftsmen in Aceh, which are passed down from generation to generation.

The ornaments were worn on the neck, chest, waist, hands, and feet. The most special use of jewelry is carried out during certain traditional ceremonies, such as the inauguration of marriages. From several collections of gold jewelry at the Aceh Museum, I saw a Patam Dhoe which is a gold crown worn on a woman's forehead. Patam Dhoe is used as a complement to traditional clothing at official traditional ceremonies and as a complement to the bride's wear in the wedding ceremony. One of the Patam Dhoe relics of the Kingdom of Aceh is stored in the ethnographic collection of the Aceh Museum. Another collection of gold jewelry is Priek-Priek which is worn as a decoration for the traditional Acehnese hat (Kupiah Meukeutop) which is worn by Acehnese men as a complement to traditional clothing in various traditional events and ceremonies.
