Hace unos meses, se estrenó la película live action de “Como entrenar a tu dragón”, misma que se inspiró en la de su versión animada bajo el mismo título. Sin embargo, las versión live-action que habían a la fecha en otras entregas, mantenía a la audiencia con sus dudas.
A few months ago, the live-action film "How to Train Your Dragon" was released, inspired by the animated version of the same title. However, the live-action versions that had been released to date in other installments left the audience with doubts.
Ya todos sabemos de las malas recepciones Ariel y Blancanieves, donde en ambos casos, sus protagonistas no se adaptan al diseño original de sus versiones animadas. Y no es por lo que llaman “racismo” sino más bien, buscar una adaptación realmente fiel a su original.
We all know about the poor reception of Ariel and Snow White, where in both cases, the protagonists do not match the original design of their animated versions. And it's not because of what they call "racism," but rather because they are seeking an adaptation that is truly faithful to the original.
La película “Cómo entrenar a tu dragón” en sus versiones animadas las vi con emoción a pesar de ser una adulta y como dato curioso, les diré, que la segunda entrega de esta trilogía, la vi estando embarazada, con las emociones desbordadas y a flor de piel y allí me hallé llorando por el deceso del valiente “Estoico” padre de Hipo.
I watched the animated versions of the movie "How to Train Your Dragon" with excitement, even though I am an adult. As a curious fact, I will tell you that I watched the second installment of this trilogy while I was pregnant, with my emotions overflowing and on edge, and there I found myself crying over the death of the brave "Estoico," Hipo’s father.
Cómo ya había visto esta trilogía, venía predispuesta por lo antes mencionado, sin embargo, me llevé una grata sorpresa. El live action de “Cómo entrenar a tu dragón” es una adaptación fiel, tanto en personajes, trama y escenarios. Es una verdadera maravilla, puesto que todo lo que vimos en su versión animada ocurre en esta entrega y además se anexan escenas que nos dejan emocionados y con entendimiento de lo que no se vio en su versión animada.
Having already seen this trilogy, I was predisposed to the aforementioned, but I was pleasantly surprised. The live-action version of How to Train Your Dragon is a faithful adaptation, both in terms of characters, plot, and settings. It is truly wonderful, since everything we saw in the animated version happens in this installment, and there are also additional scenes that leave us excited and with an understanding of what was not seen in the animated version.
Podemos ver que la trama inicia con un ataque de dragones, un Hipo emocionado queriendo matarlos y luchando internamente ya que siente que no debe hacerlo. Además vemos a un Estoico que es un calco de su versión animada y podemos disfrutar de su energía y liderazgo.
We see that the plot begins with an attack by dragons, an excited Hipo wanting to kill them and struggling internally because he feels he shouldn't do so. We also see Stoick, who is a carbon copy of his animated version, and we can enjoy his energy and leadership.
Por otro lado, se nos regala a muchos más personajes, entre ellos los padres de “Astrid”, una valiente vikinga qué busca ser reconocida con un propósito fijo y claro, ser la futura líder de la aldea.
On the other hand, we are introduced to many more characters, including the parents of "Astrid," a brave Viking girl who seeks recognition with a clear and fixed purpose: to become the future leader of the village.
La emoción de la batalla en esa primera escena nos grita que esta película será épica y que de ahí en adelante vendrán más escenas de gran emoción.
The excitement of the battle in that first scene tells us that this movie will be epic and that more exciting scenes will follow.
La película continúa con Estoico, buscando el nido de dragones sin poder hallarlo y sintiendo que su hijo, Hipo, no es un digno vikingo. Mientras tanto, Hipo, sin ser escuchado en su proeza de dar al blanco en un “furia nocturna” (dragón) sale en su búsqueda y así matarlo y recibir el reconocimiento qué tanto anhela.
The film continues with Estoico searching for the dragon nest without success and feeling that his son, Hiccup, is not a worthy Viking. Meanwhile, Hipo, unheard in his feat of hitting a "night fury" (dragon) target, sets out on a quest to kill it and receive the recognition he so desires.
Al hallarlo y darse cuenta de su vulnerabilidad, siente que ambos no son tan distintos y tienen más similitudes que diferencias. Por esta razón sigue su intuición. Lo libera y procura ser su amigo. Una tarea ardua, donde el conocerse dará sus frutos generando un lazo de amistad, confianza y protección mutua.
When he finds him and realizes how vulnerable he is, he feels that they are not so different and have more similarities than differences. For this reason, he follows his intuition. He frees him and tries to be his friend. It is an arduous task, but getting to know each other will bear fruit, creating a bond of friendship, trust, and mutual protection.

Debido a esto tanto Hipo, como el dragón furia nocturna, llamado Chimuelo, se vuelven grandes amigos y compañeros de aventuras. Es así que Hipo, se convierte en el primer vikingo qué doma un dragón y vuela en él, demostrando que estas bestias no quieren lastimar, sino coexistir en paz y que las malas acciones que realizan, como robos de animales y destrucción viene ordenado por su “Alfa” una especie de dragón no antes vista.
Because of this, both Hipo and the Night Fury dragon, named Toothless, become great friends and adventure companions. Thus, Hiccup becomes the first Viking to tame a dragon and fly on it, proving that these beasts do not want to hurt anyone, but rather coexist in peace, and that the evil deeds they commit, such as stealing animals and destruction, are ordered by their "Alpha," a species of dragon never seen before.
Es así, que la película dura poco más de dos horas, repletas de emoción y enseñanza, ya que nos refleja que las diferencias físicas no significan que haya diferencias de sentimientos y alma.
The film lasts just over two hours, filled with emotion and lessons, as it shows us that physical differences do not mean differences in feelings and soul.
Así que si todavía no has visto la película 📽 ️, te la recomiendo al cien por ciento y espero se animen los productores a animar las siguientes partes de esta trilogía y así poder ser disfrutadas por la audiencia.
So if you haven't seen the movie yet 📽 ️, I recommend it 100% and hope that the producers will be encouraged to make the next parts of this trilogy so that audiences can enjoy them.
