Hello Hive!
I am very much glad & excited to make another travel and food content here. For today's episode, we're going to try the Cheese Wheel Pasta that everyone is talking about recently. If you are a cheese and a pasta lover, this is for you! You can try this famous pasta only at American Backyard located at Ayala Central Bloc in IT Park, Cebu.
It is uniquely served as a chef prepares the pasta in front of the customers by their tables. The chef describes the ingredients and explains the process in making making the pasta. Basically, you are not only paying for the food itself but also for the presentation and dining experience. The pasta is well-coated by an Italian Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese that gives a rich, creamy sauce that coats every strand. They also use the salted pepper from Bohol and is known as "asin tibook" which adds a bit of fruity and smoky undertone. The pasta is already good for 2-3 persons which costs 700 pesos (12.39 USD).
The ambiance is giving a mix of cozy Japanese and Italian vibe. I like that they choose warm lighting that makes it even more cozy. The staff are also friendly as they also answered my questions about the restaurant and super attentive to our orders. For your information, they do not only serve pasta but also other snacks and Japanese meals. They also have this best selling flaming burger that I definitely will order on my next visit.
My overall experience was great. The pasta was uniquely delicious and have a generous servings which I guess was already good for four people. I couldn't say that it's the best pasta I have tried because it's something that I wouldn't eat regularly. It's something that I would eat once in a while. Though, I liked its taste being not too sweet because most of the cheesy pasta I've tried, either they are too sweet or not at all. This cheese wheel pasta has balanced its sweetness and minty flavor which gives an excellent combination.
That’s basically it, I hope you liked this episode and I hope to interact with you in the comment section below. Everyone’s glad to hear the stories of yours! Just always remember that learning is a lifetime process. You can learn from your experiences, trips, and other people.
