After doing my first travel sketch in the French Alps, I did another. Why not sketch more of the chalets? Another view outside of our chalet.
The View
I zoomed in on my phone camera to capture the view of my subject.
I started a quick sketch
I made a quick sketch because the kids were playing in the garden. I had to keep my eye on them all the time.
I need to return to our picnic table and use the photo I took from my phone as a reference.
I colored the chalets with brown and black.
I was very excited to finish this but my husband arrived with his nephew so I couldn't finish the coloring session.
Although it's not yet done, I love taking photos of my sketch with the real reference behind it.
Indeed, it feels like a fairytale doing some travel sketching.
Finished the coloring at home
I grabbed my pens to continue my unfinished artwork at home. During our time in the French Alps, we got busy skiing every day. I only did two sketches.
And voila! Here is the result.
I am very convinced to do more travel sketching. It is just so therapeutic and it gives me time to slow down.
