Our First Family Trip of 3 to the South of France and Spain in 2020 + 6th HPUD in October 2023

Three years ago, from September to October 2020, we went to the south of France as the initial plan for about two weeks. We rented an Airbnb place with the basic and complete necessities of a home. We had a kitchen, a washing machine for clothes, a television, two beds, a kitchen stove, a table good for four, and a bathroom with a shower. In the South of France, we went to Perpignan. It was summertime so we needed a little vacation.

From Bretagne, we went to the South of France by car. It was a long drive for about 10 hours. We started at night and arrived in Perpignan around 9 AM. We brought several things with us, especially for the baby. His bed, his toys, his chair, his bath, and everything we need to make our life comfortable with a baby. The advantage of having your own car. But if you're rich enough, you can buy a camper van.

Alexandre was about 9 months here so it was just the three of us. We always go to the beach. I actually have several photos but I misplaced my hard drive. So it's for the next article so that I can describe the places in different articles. This is just a summary of our trip.

We were actually closed on the border of the Catalan area in Spain. There was also a road sign that this was the way to Barcelona so I kept on joking to my husband about how I wished we could go to Barcelona and see the Sagrada Familia.

Sunset in Costa Brava, Spain

We visited several places in the South of France. There was a place like it was quite similar to Intramuros in Manila. A little history connected to Spain. I lost the photo somewhere.

My husband told me that it's very cheap in Spain so it is practical to buy food and gasoline in Costa Brava, Spain. I was very excited that finally, I finally stepped in my foot to Spain. I missed watching this kind of sunset. We had our tapas in Costa Brava, Spain then went back to Perpignan in France to sleep.

Sentier Sous Marin Cerbere in the South of France

The next few days, we found a place to go snorkeling in Cerbere, just in the South of France. My husband went swimming for 30 minutes while I was taking care of Alexandre. I went after and he took care of Alexandre.

For some reason, we needed to extend our vacation so my husband decided to book a place to stay in Costa Brava, Spain! It was a surprise I cried. We celebrated our first few nights with pizza, ice cream, and French crepes.

The Sagrada Familia Church in Barcelona

My hopes of seeing the Sagrada Familia were coming near so I was just being patient when should we go. And hurray for going to Barcelona, Spain!
