Food has long been the world's bond of love and care for our community. This school feeding program was just the right example, working with my knowledge about cooking, alongside my classmates to serve food and share happiness with our fellow students. The bond became more special because we all shared teamwork and fun times while preparing food. Joy, laughter, and sweat preparing these meals. That's a sweet experience for me, although I am not really a good cook. I try my very best, because "if done with effort, anything you prepare is sure to taste great." The food becomes extra special when you do it with a lot of love.
**With Friends Chopping Spices**

Our excitement was at the zenith, the day started well. There is always excitement making this kind of program. Together with my friends, we assembled in school to start preparing the food. One of the things I always found fun and memorable on that day was the chopping of spices. It may look such a small task, yet it became a bonding moment for all of us, especially me; I really want to chop spices because I find it enjoyable. A small contribution, indeed; I put an effort into it. Put into everything that you do some form of effort for you to achieve the taste that you want to happen. Put in your best. By doing that, you may start loving what you are doing.
**The Feeding Program Starts**

After painstaking hours of waiting, the spices are now set. The tables are set on the floor and the cooking of the food started with the funny ones. Seeing those smiles, laughter, and joy acts as the cement that bound us. It felt so good knowing that for one day, we made life better for someone else, though for just a few hours, by cooking food for them. So that they can feel they still have someone who cares about their health in life. I hope that if another feeding program comes along, you extend your helping hand in service of the community. Don't think about the returns; always look at it as thanksgiving for everything. Always remember it's a gift of God, and be grateful.
**Lessons Learned**

Above all those things that feed and sustain people, this feeding program taught me teamwork, compassion, and community service. It struck me that real happiness sometimes lies in little things like chopping spices with friends; their company, on another hand, made me smile.
As the day came to an end, I couldn't help but be thankful for being a part of such a memorable day. It was more than just a day to feed someone, but rather to give love, make friendships, and create memories. I hope to find many more ways to help with such programs because the appreciation of small acts will help me serve even more; this could make a huge difference.
