Level 20 Unlocked: My Surprise-Filled Birthday Bash!

Hey everyone, it's your favorite cutie blogger from the Philippines, @itsmejustine, back again! I've been super busy with classes and projects lately – college life, you know how it is, hehehe. But even so, life goes on, and so do my stories.  August 27th my best friend Angela and I @itsmejustine share the same birthday. I’m super late posting this, guys, because I’ve been so busy studying, and on top of that, we have research to do. Ugh, I’m at a loss, huhuhuhu.  I've closed the chapter on my teens. Hello to being 20! I've seriously been through a LOT of stuff and honestly, I can say I'm pretty strong because I actually got through it all. And okay, so my birthday party? Totally didn't see it coming! I even cried, which sounds kinda extra, but my friends went ALL OUT. Seriously, they're the best.  Here's what happened: I have a birthday buddy, none other than my best friend, Angela. We're the same age. In all my classmates since elementary school, it was only in college that I encountered someone with the same birthday. Maybe that's why we clicked, you know? Back then, she was super quiet, and I was pretty shy too, but once we became friends? OMG, we literally chat every single day. There's never a day we don't talk! Early in the morning, the first ones to greet me were my mom and dad and then followed by my two siblings. Woahhhh, I'm tearing up as I type this, my gosh, I'm such a crybaby, guys. When my mom and dad greeted me, they didn't say anything else but, "Take care always because we're not there to look after you. We're so far away". It was just a simple message, but it totally got me in my feels, you know? So then, later that night, Benjur chatted on our GC called BRAJAJA said "Hey, Jollibee on tomorrow, anyone down?"And everyone's like, "Okay!" in sync. We're thinking, it's because our birthday's at the 27th day in August. But then the next day, when I get to class my friends are acting all weird and quiet, like they totally forgot that Angela and I weren't even exist. And I felt sad so Angela and I were the only ones who greeted each other. And we didn't mind them when they didn't greet us or even say hi they're just so busy watching their phone. (And that's they're plan that we didn't know). Lunchtime rolls around, and I'm still thinking, "Okay, maybe NOW they'll say something." But nope, nada! Since our class ended early, Angela and I visited the Sto. Basilica Church. We prayed there, thankful for reaching the age of 20 and for being given many blessings by the Lord. I wasn't able to take a picture, guys, because my phone was low on battery at that time, ayyyy… So, it's Jollibee time! One of our friends, Roxanne, was late because she's a working student at CTU. She told us to wait for her. She arrived really late, just like Benjur, who was out on a date with his "bebelubz" (girlfriend). He's finally having his love life!   After a few minutes, Roxanne arrived and brought flowers. And then she kissed us in chicks she gave us red roses. It was seriously the sweetest thing ever, 'cause it was my first time getting flowers, and on my birthday too! So that's why they were acting all in the morning – turns out, she was planning a rose surprise!I couldn't understand my feelings at that time. I just kept saying "oa" (overacting) because of the flower, but deep inside, I was about to cry. After a few minutes, we ordered what we wanted to eat. And of course my drumstick Ang spag will always be my number 1 choice. I thought Albert ( one of my friends) , wouldn't join us because he said he wants to go home early, but he came along with Annabelle. My friends had so many surprises!  Benjur and Roxanne went to the counter. And me and Angela were starting to wonder what was taking them so long when the line is not full. I was getting so sleepy in the chair, like I wanted to lie down. But my friends were so chill. Angela and I were the only ones who were curious because we were so hungry already...  After a few minutes, there was a Jollibee staff member who kept passing by our table, and when I looked at the stairs, there was a line of staff along with my friends, and what touched my heart the most was that they were racing to sing "Happy Birthday" to Angela and me. That's when I couldn't stop crying. I was sobbing literally because they made an effort plan to surprise and yeahhhh were surprised that's why they didn't greet us. They had a surprise effect! I seriously couldn't even explain how I was feeling at that moment. I'm just so incredibly thankful for my friends. Yeah, we argue over the silliest things sometimes, but when it really matters, we're like family – a total ride-or-die kind of thing.    Even after they finished singing, and starting to eat I was still sobbing, totally shocked. I mean, hello, it's my birthday, why am I even crying? Ouhhh I just couldn't hold back how happy I was with everything they did for me. They put in so much effort. They even created a separate group chat where they discussed their surprise for Angela and me. Kudos to my friends through ups and downs. I love you all so much. That's all, guys. Thanks for reading.
